I hope everyone has had a great week. We have been.... well, busy again!
I just can't imagine not being on the go.
It keeps us out of trouble, and makes for great times! I often think back on the weeks happenings, and wonder how in the world did we do all that!

It was the same this past week. It has been a good week. Scheduling returned to normal this week, as the other grandparents wrapped up their vacation the week before. I was busy with Nicholas ad William W-FR, with an additional swim time for Nicholas on Monday. It is nice to have normal back again. Life is indeed good.

It has been a week in the pool!

It has just become the norm for us, we go each week, and just never tire of it. It proves to be such fun for both boys, and their excitement with it all has not wavered.

Nicholas's swim classes continue, on Monday and Wednesday. Wednesday was his last class in this session, and next week he starts a new one, new level, new pool location in the complex. I hope he embraces is new class, as he can sometimes have stage fright when faced with new things. We did hear that one of the boys in his class also moved up a level, so that should help with this transition. He did well in this class, learned new things well and fast. He has discovered that lessons actually are fun, and he can't wait to get started each lesson. AWESOME!

Way to go Nicholas! Outside of class he still is our little energizer fishie, loves swimming in the big pool, and will often forgo the beach area play for the 6 and unders. He'd rather be in deep water.
He is so happy to have his Friday night swims back at the Snohomish pool. Me too for that matter!
William is also doing extremely well. He likes to float, and will do so, on his tummy in the shallow beach area. TH he was scooting along the bottom, floating on his tummy, using arms and legs to move about. How fun! Lessons ought to go well for him too. He still has to be 3 to take them so another year of me doing what I can to get him ready for them, and let him discover on his own how fun water and pools can be. He too just loves it, never tries of it, so off we go. Our Swim days this week were Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Night. WHOA.... that is alot of pool time. Crazy, but I am grateful to have the opportunity to be able to take them.
GO NICHOLAS! GO WILLIAM !!
Nicholas. down under!
William, groovin' down under!
We still do the Friday Night Burger Feast. Nicholas just loves that whole experience, so no way will we not continue the tradition. Quite the feast he has: Cheeseburgers with extra pickles, fried with ketchup ranch and tartar sauce, assorted berries, milkshakes, and chocolate cupcakes. After all the spent energy he is one hungry little boy. And yes, he does eat it all.

The week was busy.... three days of adventure after adventure. I was grateful, in a way, that it was only a three day week with the boys. Weather was somewhat iffy this week, so we had a combination of activities depending on what teh skies gave us. We were off to the Imagine Childrens Museum, Bothell Landing Park, and the town of Skykomish. Wednesday, after Nicholas's swim, we were also able to spend some time with the boys Grammie Connie. I am so grateful to her for helping me with William when Nicholas needs to be in the pool. She is a god-send. Boys love it there too. It has been a few weeks since we have been to the Imagine Museum. What a welcome treat for the boys. They do a great job there with fun filled learning activities for the kids. It is nice too that it is close, and gives us a good place to go outside and away from Seattle, and the never ending traffic issues there.
The Bothell duckies need us
so we took a chance on weather and went to the park there on TH. So many duckies!!! Boys had a blast, visiting the river as well. TH night they both were at a Mariners baseball game with mom and dad, late night for them (!!) so by the time I got them on FR they were already tired. LOL. We made it a low key day, took a road trip to a small town called Skykomish. Trains run right through the middle of this very small town, so we went to watch them, ad spend some time on the river. Both of them slept the whole 2 hour trip home.
it truly was a great week!

For my own personal time, I continue to hike the local trails here when I can. I still haven't made that mountain hike, but all in good time on that one.
I know, I write this every week.... but SOON! I have read that the higher mountain roads are all now open, so no more excuses!
Right no I am focusing on Eastern Washington, before it gets blazing hot over there... like 95-110 HOT. I also made a few treks to the old favorite Meadowdale on Saturday, and Tuesday, and some local neighborhood walks. Tuesday morning I was able to have breakfast with my son Anthony, alwyas a treat there. I did not hike out of the local this week though, as I had some matters at home that I needed to tend too. You know... those things we kept putting off. Besides... my hike was was wet and raining.
back at the hikes this week, for sure. I hope too that everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. Our was great, a day spent with family. AWESOME time!

I wrote most of this last week, but all is still true.... The kitties are doing well. There really isn't much new to write about. Elsa is still holding her own, Bug is still being my cute affectionate Mannie look alike. Lola is still... well, Lola. Still my wild and crazy girl. With the arrival of spring weather she has been in the "LET ME OUT!" mode.

This continues this past week too, she is relentless, and getting good: darts out that door faster than a speeding bullet.

Crazy cat. So.... we are back to thinking about how we can feasibly build something that will let her get out but still confine her to the yard. If only she would stay in her yard..... NOPE! Hooray for kitty treats, which she can resist.
I continue to worry about Elsa. Weight is an issue, She had lost a little more... She seems to feel well however, is very active for her age (19 come 8/1), eats when she wants, just not much. She seems happy, feeling OK, so maybe I just worry too much about her. She is back to sleeping with my at night,we share the pillow. I don't complain, as I will miss it when she is no longer there, whenever that may be. Lola has decided that sleeping under the bed covers at night is cool, so a few times a week she will come and do that, curls up next to my stomach. It is funny how she is so calm when she does, not the wild and crazy kitty she otherwise can be.
Other than that, Normalcy in Three MusketeerVille!

Have a great Caturday everyone. Time for me to go relax some....
a local trail hike is in order! We have a dinner set tonight to celebrate family birthdays mine and my son Anthony, which was this past TH. Should be fun! Enchiladas ad fajitas are on the menu. YUM!

Isn't the Imagine children's Museum a great place? The boys love it there. It is one of our rainy day places to go. We are all so glad on Nicholas's swim lessons. He really is having fun with it, and earning too. Yupp on William: no more baby, a little boy now.
