He hasn't dipped too low, hasn't earned anything so far, and yet, I am pleased with his healing numbers. He balked at the Evo 95% venison this morning so then accepted some tuna. He is now roaring in the living room. So far, everything is good around here for this fine Saturday! Hoping you all have a great day!

Super! Actually I think it's positive that he doesn't earn anything to quickly. These are perfect numbers and when he can surf for a while it might take some of the bounce out of him and certainly there is the opportunity for healing here. When he's ready he will earn those decreases hopefully steady and slow so he doesn't get ahead of himself. Seeing these numbers and hearing of Raja's antics after the the 2 of them threw hairballs sounds like they need to have a good gack more often!

poops, purring....DH rigged up a new fence for the terrace...it's about 4ft high now and has kept Raja the leaping kitty inside where she belongs. I am thinking that maybe...just maybe, Shadow will be able to join her for some fresh air. He has always managed to escape in the past but maybe now he will stay put. Of course, the terrace looks like hell with the green plastic chicken wire fence all around it. :lol: And we are barricaded too unless we release the tension curtain rod that keeps the gate up. It's too high to step over for us now....well what are ya gonna do, ya know? So glad DH is going along with all of this....but he gets a kick out them too so that is good.

Ann....I have changed them over to Evo 95% Chicken and Turkey after finally finding a place that sells it. It's a distance from my home, but it's worth the drive to me. No by-products in it....so I feel that it is better for them than the stuff that I can find locally. I have never used this in the past cause I never saw it anywhere. I usually add some raw mixture to the canned Evo.
I have always thought that the food does influence so much....so if this is helping then I am happy! I have compared the ingredients in most of the major brands....there are fruits and veggies added to so many products and flaxseed oil....so I was happy to see that the Evo has herring oil which is more easily utilized by felines rather than flaxseed oil which cannot be utilized....I wish I had found this stuff earlier.
Not sure what is working ~~and usually, just when he is doing really well, he bounces and goes crazy all over again. :roll: So, I don't put any money on anything Shadow is doing at any given time! :lol: Buying a lottery ticket is more of a sure thing than betting on my boy and his numbers!! :lol:

Great numbers you're having with Shadow! Those low surfs are very nice. I hope you can post a picture of your new fence. :mrgreen: What spoiled kitties we all have! I hope you all have a very nice Caturday.

Hi Pat,

Well look at Shadow! What great #'s hes having. He may bounce like hes prone to doing, but hes doing awesome Pat!

I'm glad hes feeling good and sounds like the new fence just might keep him in. [I've got one of those escape artists too]

OT I do actually use the same method that you do for the bubbles in the syringe. Lubricate by pulling plunger in and out and drawing the insulin in slowly etc. But somethimes I just get a huge one that puts a crimp in the process.

Gave him a little HC at +5 and it brought him up a little. Haven't let him out yet...but Raja was out all morning and only just came in now for a bite to eat...She is unusually verbal lately along with whipping her tail and acting crazy & affectionate. She was babbling and I asked her "What do you want?" and she said clearly "OUT" so, being a good servant, I opened the door for her.
(I think she is secretly very annoyed that she cannot read the doorknob herself so she wouldn't need me!) LOL

He is content to hang out with me ~~resting during his stellar surf. Sometimes it goes so easily like the past few days...and then his liver rears up and he goes back to the ugly numbers. This is just SO not easy, right? :mrgreen:

I definitely feel you on this one, Pat! He has been looking great recently, but when that happens with Buzz, I am always waiting for the other shoe to drop. Hopefully he decides that he feels so great in low #s that he will stay there for quite awhile. :mrgreen:

What a day this has been....what a rare mood I'm in.....

He came out for a snack....started eating Raja's leftovers from 4 hours ago...Yuck. I didn't pick up the unfinished bowl and was making him a fresh snack. He started eating the old food!!! I tell you...I could SCREAM! He has been a reluctant eater for the past 2 days....and I was fussing withe the freeze dried chicken on HIS snack. They are too funny these kitties!!
But it's ok no matter what he does....he is such a little sweetie... cat_pet_icon
He is busy grooming now. He had a few minutes with his little catnip mouse too....so sweet....

Hi Pat, What a great run for Shadow! And the fence sounds like it's just the thing. Glad to hear that DH enjoyed putting it up. If I want anything like that done, I have to do it myself!

Really nice numbers - but I'm not saying nuthing. Tuscany won't touch the evo 95 chicken and turkey. Funny that. Josie and the outside girls will eat it, in fact it is one of the few canned foods I can get Josie to eat. Glad that you have been able to fine a source kind of near you.

Yeah, and I can see the dark circles under her eyes from here! Pat must be part vampire, loves to test blood and doesn't sleep at night. (Or in the daylight either according to Shadow's SS.)

I love the beautiful numbers and the new fence, but seriously Pat, sleep is NOT over-rated. Take care of yourself!
