Good Afternoon LL
Daphne and I had one heck of a night last night. Not sure which one of us was worse. It started to rain I guess on Sunday night, and rained all day yesterday and into the night, so by 11:00 pm, we were both in pretty bad pain. I had to send out an SOS to LL, SO THANK YOU LL, again! It was late when I asked for help, so not many people were on the board, but the people that were, even though they were dealing with their own issues and kitties, they wrote. :YMHUG:
For those of you who live in a different state, and not one on the central/east coast, you may not know that when it rains here, the people who suffer with pain, especially with arthritis and Fibromyalgia, and back issues, it really makes it ten times worse. So last night, I guess Daphne and I just had it with this rain! My own back literally locked up, the most I could do was sit on the floor with Daphne and I could heat the moist towels in the heating pad, and put them on her back, (yes, I snuck a few hot towels for myself, even though I have the heavy meds. I use when its very bad, I didn't want to use them because of the brain fog it gives me and I couldn't put myself to sleep because Daphne needed me.) So anyway, with the little helpful aids I had, we got through one hell of a night.
I just saw a forcast and after today, we are supposed to have at least 9 days of some sun! :RAHCAT In the mean time I'm researching the best meds for Daphne and I put the call into the vet to see what she will give me. The two meds. I see on this board is the buprenorphinenor and the adequan. I know you would think I would take giving drugs to Daphne lightly, since I know and treat my own pain, but it really is the opposite. Strong drugs scare me, since I also know that they all come with lots of bad side effects.
OH and sorry, I missed a few post, (I just went back to yesterdays post). I so appreciate everyone who wrote when I finally went to bed. I could not keep my eyes open for another minute. And all I did since I've been awake was keep putting hot towels on Daphne, she is feeling so much better now. Vet still didn't call back.
THANKS Michelle, Melanie, Tortie, Dyana, Ella, Sienne, and Marje, who wrote and gave me safe and helpful advice. I wrote some notes from all of your post and will reread them again now.
Daphne is sound asleep and even snoring a bit  AND I SEE SUN!! CAN IT BE? ANTI JINX ON THAT!!
THANKS AGAIN LL :YMHUG:
