I think I really should be reducing the dose now. I fed her some HC with honey but unfortunately I have to leave for a doctor's appointment. The auto-feeder is set to give her HC + honey every 30 mins and my dad will keep an eye on her while I'm gone. I should be back in an hour.

She tested 40 at +2.25. I have to leave. Rubbed some honey on her gums just in case, no signs of hypo.

The 40 at +2.25 was how long after HC and honey? 15 mins?

Try the drop dose. To measure a drop dose, push the plunger of the empty syringe in fully, keep it pressed and insert in the pen. Let go of the pressure on the plunger and it will draw a drop. When you insert the needle into Stela, push the plunger and count to ten if she will let you.

Yes, it was after 15 mins. Couldn't wait much longer and I was hoping to see a rising number before leaving. All went fine, no signs of hypo whatsoever, she happily ate all the fancy HC food and tested 113 at +4. I will shoot the drop dose tonight.
