5/12 Brutus +11 pmps Dose increase ?

I don't think there would be any bounce left in these numbers.could I be wrong ? It looks to me like we need to add a few drops back to his dose to get him back to greens.We have not been home to test during the day but last night he only got down to 128 at +3 and plus 6 was 193.i think Iwill bump it up to .75 fat or 1u skinny(is there a difference? ) and see what happens.Does this sound right?

I understand that rebound could take up to 72 hours to clear.Brutus seems to clear sooner.but I am willing to wait one more cycle before bumping up dose. Hard to do though, we liked the greens.Any thoughts?

it certainly wouldn't hurt to wait another cycle, steve.
although, if it were me, i'd take the dose up to 1u bid because i firmly believe in being aggressive with kitties who have returned from the falls. feeding the curve in order to hang onto doses rather than taking reductions spaced closely together is the way to go, imo.

a lot depends on your comfort level and ability to monitor...

Jill,I think we will bump him up tonight to a skinny 1u.I am comfortable now feeding a low curve.its just the sleep and work issues that get in the way.so how do we know when to reduce, or do we feed through low curves for as long as we can?

wellllllll, i can tell you what i'm doing with alex...
i've been feeding so that she won't earn reductions. once i feel like she's stabilized on a particular dose or if i'm seeing frequent inverted curves... i attempt to sneak down the dose. the exception has been when she's unexpectedly dropped into the low 30s. that's when i've taken 0.25u reductions.

Sounds like its all about BOS.we are going for the green-what other choice is there?

great decision, Steve, I think BOS is what it will take to hopefully get Brutus OTJ again, so I'm glad you're willing to go for it. :smile:
