Good Morning LL!!
(per the norm: DGS recovery fuel) and Happy Caturday!
PHEW! It's a good thing that Elsa has gotten the 10 hour energy
down. All us beans are in dire need. Yesterday a delivery truck pulled up, loaded with frozen yogurt. It seems she wanted to try that with the
and see if it was better than the ice cream. hmmmmm.... I had one comment for her:
, and stick with the ice cream. It's a good thing that all those kitties that came to play in the treehouse liked frozen yogurt. ;-) So it seems we are back to a dollop of ice cream with the mochas. Today it seems she was into caramel. I found it all over the kitchen counter, on the floor, with puddles of melted caramel on the table. Hmmmmm... must have been alot of sampling going on. I will admit though that caramel mocha this morning, with a dollop of fudge ice cream, was mighty tasty. Best get your orders in folks...
Today is a bittersweet day for me. It was five years ago today that we received the DX that Mannie was diabetic. Five years.... I had hoped he would be able to celebrate that feat with all his buddies here, but alas, that was not to be. I can think back on those early days with a smile now. They were rough ones. We were shooting blind, mainly becasue we knew no differently. Three hypos, three events I hope no one has to ever go through. How far we had/have come since those early days (thank you FDMB!)... Five glorious years with one heckuva cat. Mannie, my boy, I thank you for it all, from the bottom of my heart. There is a large part of me that is so happy that there are not more pokies for you, or tests, or illness. You celebrate well at the Bridge today. It is wonderful for me to think that now you are whole and healthy once again. Party on big guy! cat_pet_icon You will be forever in my heart.
Nicholas and I had a great day at the pool yesterday. The ENERGIZER FISH had another awesome day. We were back to swimming all over the big pool with the noodle, jumping in from anywhere and everywhere, swimming underwater, and just having a grand time. I so wish I had his energy! He wanted to do the trail by the pool again afterwards, so we did that too, after a mammoth lunch. How does that kid eat so much. well duh....burns it off. I brought him home for a nap. under such protest. oh sure... I can hear him in there laughing and playing. wow, impressive! no nappin' today. I so feel for his mom and dad.... We ended up the day with a trip to a waterfall near by to where his dad works, and sat on the grass and ate strawberries. What a perfect end to a very busy day. Here are the links to the photos and videos from yesterday, once again a bit repetitive, but fun I hope nonetheless. Picassa: At days end: Kirkland, Lynnwood Pool Trail, and Swimming.
Have a great day everyone! Enjoy your weekend. Caturday is a catch up ay for me: shopping laundry, errands, all the fun stuff. As always I hope I will be able to take a hike to the shore here. Paws crossed!
And kitties.... remember! Think BLUE, think GREEN!
