hii! Kahlua's mom! hope you don't mind me jumping in here to ask, I was checking at your ss and I noticed you comment on the amount of calories Kahlua's was fed daily. How do you calculate that? Just by adding the total calories per can she ate that day? do you feed can only? raw?

It's really an estimate. She's raw fed, so i take the total calories in the pound of meat and divide it out. I put them in ice cube trays. I don't even count the calories in the completer. She gets beef, lamb or pork and they each have different calories. I feed her half a beef cube and half a lamb cube at amps, a beef cube at +4, a lamb cube at +8, half beef and half pork at pmps and then half beef and a whole pork at +3. That gets her thru the night. She gets freeze dried treats, too. I kind of count the calories in those....I honestly just like to keep a loose idea of how much she's eating so I make sure she's getting about the same amount each day. I keep her meals pretty regular. Very predictable. It seems to work for her.

oh wow, this is awesome! I tried a couple fo times to transition them to raw, but they would have none of it. After 10 years ONLY just now I was able to transition them to wet- We'll see after a while probably it's easier to transition to raw from wet than it was from kibble. Your system sounds awesome and reliable. thank you for answering! <3 she's stunning btw- 🍀
