okay this is a little better. Alex is having an uneventful day which is GOOD :-D

Had his usual 2 bowls of fuds, and is now taking his nap. He only growled at Jackson a little bit.
He's going to vet today for blood tests but he doesn't know that yet (shhhhhh)
Mom is a little concerned because it's supposed to be in upper 80's this weekend and still no
A/C in my apartment. That's how the whole panting/heart thing started-or I should say became apparent
2 weeks ago nailbite_smile . Maybe I'll buy another fan or something although it won't help much since both cats seem to not really
like fans :sad:

All p's are in order for now and hopefully will stay that way.

Nice number for Alex this morning..(can you tell me what AMBB stands for? i can't figure it out but I haven't had all of my coffee yet this morning...I have always wondered what it stands for...feeling a little foggy as usual. LOL)

Looks like a good start for the day for Alex! Hopefully the heat won't be too bad and he won't have any issues. How did he do with laying on a towel-wrapped bag of ice last time? Will he lay on one if you leave a few of those out for him?

I still think that you should get one of those picnic freezer packs, then put it in front of the fan -- or a cooler filled with ice in front of a fan. Instant air conditioning!

He never did lay on a towel filed with ice..I had put frozen peas on him. He won't do stuff like that...he's a cat :)

AMBB is "before breffis" because I don't shoot until around noon :-D

We wouldn't have missed it!
That cooler thing is a thought..now I'll have to ask vet to keep in touch over the week end because he will be at gf's house. Her dog is REALLY has problems right now and I wouldn't even think of calling there if I needed him... she'd hang up on me :(

Yup, but it was a nice day, we have finally had some really nice weather, but it looks like it's gonna end with a bang here soon. Sky is dark clouds, and wind. Should be a good light show tonight! I love T-storms but I hate the rain.
 
Alex back from the Vet

and he was such a good boy...as usual cat_pet_icon
He took a lot of blood and had something like a 'senior chem screen'? done and it's a full cbc and includes a regular t4 and a free t4.
he also said that Alex's heartbeat has slowed down considerably from the atenelol (he's been taking the full dose that the cardiologist prescribed), and he has also gained 9 ounces since the day he had his ultrasound/echo-cardiograph which was 2 weeks ago :razz:

he also did another mini check up and aside from the obvious Alex seemed to be doing well.
I should be getting his results tomorrow.

Now I can go back to worrying about the heat :roll:
