:D:D:D By the way, when you don't give insulin it is AMBG and PMBG. If you put OTJ Trial Day # in your subject line, everyone can cheer you and Chase on each day. Congrats on starting the OTJ trial.

I echo Carla's post. You'll want to have the subject line look more like this:

4/3 Chase AMBG 93 PMBG 95 OTJ Trial Day 1

Then we will all know to help you celebrate!

DAY ONE!!!!

:( Looks like the trial is already over. I had a feeling. :( Just going to wait for direction, I guess. :( It was over before it really started.

Unfortunately, I think I'm going to run out of strips for the first time. And I don't get paid for another week. Not sure what to do, now.

Give him a teaspoon of LC food, and check again in a couple of hours, you might find he comes back down. It's not unusual for them to bobble about, no need to panic just yet.

I thought that giving them HC food was to bring their numbers up. But hey... I guess there's nothing to lose, now.

He's not liking his LC, now, anyway.

What are you feeding Sandi? Is it all low carb?

I my post above I said LC not hc.
He should only be getting LC now.

What is your feeding schedule like, now he's not on insulin, and you don't need to prevent/manage his dives, it might make more sense to spread the feedings out more evenly throughout the day.

Eg once George went OTJ I fed
Approx
3ounces ambg
2tsp +3
2tsp +6
2tsp +9
3 ounces pmbg
2tsp +3
2tsp +6
2tsp +9

Sorry. I meant MC. I thought it said MC.

His food is being spread out the best I can get it spread out. The timed feeder only holds a certain number of servings. I will just need to if I am to start him back on the drop dose tomorrow morning.

Only LC food now.
Chase eats more food than that, per day. Buyt lately, he's only been picking at it.

I have to go to bed. I had a very long day at work and I am beat. :(
Paws crossed for green in the morning.

Don't assume you need to start him back on insulin yet. Keep giving the +9 snack.

See where he is tomorrow.

Check out Trixie's SS. She's still OTJ.

I did. Trixie's blue numbers are mostly very low. Chase had a BG of 120 the first night of being OTJ. He is at 64 this morning, so I don't know. I"ll just keep testing and feeding him his usual until someone tells me different.

I had something else going on last night and so his 120 really got me down. Sorry... don't mean to be negative.

When you have time, go back to 2014 on Trix's SS when she stopped insulin and look through the years. She even got up to 188 on one day.
