Hi everybody. He goes for boarding tomorrow morning.

He's gone up during this last reduction from 5.5 to 5.25. What do you think about his dose while I'm gone? 5? I'm thinking that might be safe. He's been at 5.25 for 3 cycles.

Vet does 'first thing in the morning' - 7AM and 'last thing at night' - 6PM. So, definitely not a strict 12 hour schedule. And I guess I'll shoot him around 7 tomorrow morning (when I take him in).

yes, here's what I emailed to Donna late last night.

"Donna, I talked with Jill about Connor’s dose while he’s at the vet. We’re leaning toward 4.5 units, but let’s see what the vet says about their shooting times. If some of the shots will be 10 hours apart, we might have to go lower. He’s changing so fast that we can’t afford to take a chance that he’ll run low while he’s unattended at night.

I wanted to go ahead and send this to you tonight, because I’ve been having a lot of trouble getting to internet from work so I might not be able to reply until after work tomorrow. I know you need to at least start getting organized before that."

I think those shot times should be fine with 4.5 units. Make sure you take your own syringes so they don't try to use theirs (they might accidentally use U-40 syringes, we've seen that happen!), and take his low carb food.

Okay. 4.5 it is. Thanks for all your help! I'm going to fill up a sample with colored water like you suggested to show where the 4.5 is. Good idea!

Will let everybody know how it turns out when I get back.

Thanks again!

Donna

it will be good to meet you this weekend!

(we're going to Spring Training for Siamese Rescue in Virginia). I'm not leaving until Friday morning. See ya Saturday!
