All is as well as can be expected at our house. Baby and I are both still sick. Baby still won't sleep without being held. Discovered DD is teething on top of getting over this crummy cold from last week, so there's no hope for her cough to stop any time soon. DH was up all night with the baby again (gotta love him!), so is home again today. Both kitties were cuddled around me last night trying to make me feel better, and both were out with DH when I moved to the couch with the baby.

Good morning Mindy! Was going to sign out of FDMB and get to work, but had to make one more stop to say "HAPPY DAY 9, MAX!!!! WooHoo...almost there :RAHCAT
Sorry everyone is feeling like poop in your house and I hope you all feel better soon. Kudos to DH for helping out!!

So glad Max is taking good care of himself while you're not feeling well! I hope his number gives you some encouragement while you heal. Feel better soon!

Happy Day 9 Mindy and Max!!!! So sorry you and the baby are sick! What a great DH you have! At least you don't have to worry about Max while you are going through this!!! You guys are almost there, hope you will feel better so you can enjoy Max's party in a few days!!! (anti-jinx!)

Thanks everyone! You know, I think I'd feel better if I could just sound semi-normal when I talk. Right now I sound like I've had a tracheotomy--I'm very hoarse and raspy. I'm sure I'll be feeling better by the end of the week, but in the meantime, the exhibition must go on, and so I am at work...

And yes, it's VERY nice to not have to worry about Max right now! It definitely makes things easier knowing that he's doing alright on his own!

I think a scratchy voice is sexy - you should talk to your DH some more and bat your eyelashes!

I'm happy that there are parents of human children who still care about thier pets out there. It's gotta be incredibly hard having a sick family with a diabetic cat too. My gosh! I've know a few couples to give up on their pets after having kids. Before kids the pets meant so much to them...after kids they became a bother. Makes me sad. So thank you for being a nice person! i hope there are more like you out there!

Thank you Traci...but I'll admit it hasn't been easy. I actually posted on here at the beginning to find a new home for Max. I love him to pieces and have had him longer than I've had my husband, but having pets and babies is hard...having a diabetic pet and babies seemed downright impossible. We've tried to keep all the pets included and not neglect them after each baby has been born, but for a few months they really do get less attention. Not because we can't be bothered, but because babies really do take that much time. On the other hand, both the cats have learned the times they can get my attention--Truman always comes in with me when I take my shower in the morning and Max is the first one on my lap as soon as the kids are in bed (and sometimes he tries to lay on the baby while I'm feeding him too...but I usually have to shoo him off then). And of course, both the cats now to actually accept attention from the kids. Jared just loves Max (and Max will even let him pull out his fur despite our best efforts to keep him from doing it!), and Truman is finally warming up to Casey (he was the baby until she came along, so I think he felt jilted). I have been extremely lucky tho, that both my babies have been pretty easy-going--I think if either of them had been colicky or high-maintenance (ha! aren't all babies high-maintenance?), we would have had a much harder time with the fur-babies.

And I think I'll have to start putting my health wishes on here more often--after posting that I'd like to have my voice back, it actually returned, albeit for a very short time. So now I'm going to wish that Jared will sleep tonight!
