Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
Going to be joining the new Feline Kidney Message Board (FKMB) created by @Tim & Pookey - thanks for that! Just need some time to set up a new account.
For now, some CKD updates:
- Going to yet again switch his diet slightly. Something in the Weurva family that's low pho and slightly lower protein than what he has now.
- The other major thing I need to get under control is Binx's diarrhea... he's had it a lot more consistently since I got back from my trip and I suspect it's from the Felimazole. I know S. Boulardii is mentioned a lot here, so I'm trying to see if I can find one that is easily accessible/not too expensive. I've seen AOR S. Boulardii, which seems similar to Jarrow just without the prebiotic element and is available in store here at about the same price. If anyone in Canada has experience here, would love some recommendations! Also saw the Visbiome is great and discussed on Tanya's website (and I saw @Kat & Trixie mentioned it on FKMB) but it's more expensive and I'd likely need to go through my vet.
- Slightly worried he may be getting TOO much water right now too, as I add plenty to all his meals and that could be another issue. He has access to both a fountain and still water, so I will try letting him get more hydration by choice from those.
Otherwise, Binx is seeing decent numbers. I know he's not seeing a lot of greens, but I'm going to hold him here a little bit because I'm less stressed leaving him while I'm at work all day.
