Sorry for not posting. My days were much longer than anticipated. Partially because Latte's numbers were high and she was eating, along with amy shooting pm...gave me the opportunity to have some late dinners with friends I only see a few times/year. One, whom is going to climb K2 in Pakistan (2nd tallest/most dangerous mountan) next month. Hate to say it, but in those circumstances you always want to make sure you give an appropriate send off and make sure they know how loved they are...just in case. This was important to me. Just doing the bare necessities of getting my basic needs met (shower, food, sleep), and Latte's was more than I could handle as the days went on.
After her near 600 mark on Friday night, I began feeling even more helpless with her numbers and hate how much I could be hurting her more because I cant figure things out. Its as if Im damned if I do, damned if I dont (or rather she is).
Since her Friday night liquid poo, high numbers, etc. she has been doing pretty good from what I can tell. I got a sense on Sunday when I left she was either confused or sad I was leaving again. Similar thing this a.m. when I left. Incredibly happy when I get home and very affectionate. She has been spending a great deal of time on her throne and in the hall, so it seems. Though a fair amount of her food is kibble right now (not home to encourage wet), she is taking care of herself in that regards with little prodding. Amy seemed thrilled to get many purrs and what sounds like, even a kiss, from her this weekend when she came to give the shots. ;-)
Latte has been soaking herself after peeing in the LB. And I mean SOAKING her entire right side and butt. Her right side seems to be the more painful one, so cleaning it is very hard for me without getting hissed or nipped. Its becoming quite matted. And the smell, I cant even begin to explain...not just on her, but her bedding, and in the air. She tried a little under cover time with me this afternoon when I got home, but the smell under there was burning my nostrils...seriously. Ive tried some 'spritzer', and light brushing when I can. But the smell must be much deeper in the fur/skin. She is spending time trying to clean. Again, she doesnt have the mobility to do a really good job or for extended periods of time.
I have dbls the rest of the week, so its possible we may be scarce. Just really no sense in posting repeated high 200=500's on a daily basis...when nothing can really be done about it.
her dose, btw was decreased on Sun a.m. because i thought she was breaking through rebound, did not seem eager to eat in a.m., and I was to be gone 10 hrs. It didnt work out so we are back up a drop. I can increase another drop Thurs, with full monitoring (if my strips arrive in time) over next weekend.

Thank You sienne for filling out the ss. I cant tell how much nicer it was to only fill in a few days tonight, rather than an entire week. It would have never been complete if it were not for you.
