Dosing advice folks. I'm on SLGS and just increased last Friday. Don't I need to wait until next Friday to increase?

How many months before a cat is determined to be a long term diabetic? Susie was diagnosed in December so it has only been four months. What is the breakdown of a short term diabetic and a long term diabetic?
