Day 3 of Tracey's Patience Training by Jones
The plan from Friday 4-21-17.
Here is what I was thinking as a plan:
Yesterday's numbers were kind of flat but he also ate a bit more through out the day. It was a snowy ugly day in Edmonton, so we snuggled on the couch with a blanket. I read and randomly poked him, he slept and ate. Worked for both of us. All of his evening meal was eaten plus his before bed "snack" by morning. I have noticed that both his CKD civvie sister and him - like their before bed snack. Which will work well when I start using the SEB when needed. (BTW - the suggestion of freeze dried treats left out for Rain to eat during the night has worked wonderfully. They are always gone in the morning and there has been no watery - foamy white vomits since we started this).
So, I am thinking my pen is ok.
So new plan:
Day 3 of Tracey's Patience Training by Jones
The plan from Friday 4-21-17.
Here is what I was thinking as a plan:
- Ordered new pen - just in case but will hold that for after the weekend.
- Yesterday I decided just to stick with the pred, but I am thinking this morning that I started this whole mess for a reason and since tonight is budesonide night - I will stick with the budesonide going forward. He seems to be doing ok on it now and with it being a week of transition of the low dose of pred - I think things should be ok to drop the pred. If he doesn't do well over the long term on the IBD side, I can always ask a vet about switching back.
- I will keep the dose of a F1 drop over the next 3 days unless he goes below 50.
- Then assess where Jonesy is on Monday. If things don't improve, try new pen at the same dose for a 4 cycles.
- If things still don't improve then look for advise on dosage.

So new plan:
- Keeped the same F1 drop for a week and see where his numbers fall.
- If need I will ask for dose advice next Monday as that will be 7 days of consistent meds and dose.
