I figured out why Kitty is higher in the morning than the evening. It's because DH is still feeding him about 90 minutes before the a.m. test. Duh.

I was worried that he wasn't enjoying his food -- but there is no sign of his losing weight, either, so I guess he is eating enough! As for me: Enjoying Trident today!

ETA: During gum days, am I allowed to skip a mid-day test? Or is a mid-day test encouraged?

Yay for Day 7!!! DH don't listen very well all the time do they?? hahahaha! We can never tell them that though! I told me DH last night, make sure you take up the food before you go to bed and he was like oh didn't know I was supposed to do that? I was like really, I have told you a million times! I am going to get a timed feeder to make things easier on both of us, lol! Happy Day 7, you are halfway there, sooooo awesome!!!! have a great Fursday!

Wow Kathy, I can't believe how fast this trial is moving. Didn't I say that yesterday too? Get those pictures ready! I'm excited to see other pictures of him - the only one I've even seen is your avitar.

Happy Day 7 Kathy
I do not beleive thre are "rules" when testing on trials.
I liked to test Max AM around his normal +9 and PM.
I really wanted to know how he brought his numbers down after his meals.
Since there is no shot your typical nadir time is not as relevant anymore.
Kitty is looking amazing at HUMP DAY!!!!

What I was told on testing during trial - if you test a normal number at your AM or PM numbers, life is good no need to test between. If you test a higher number, test again at somewhere between +2 to +4 to see if they are able to bring down the numbers on their own.

I chose to test a little bit more often to see if she was bringing herself down since we were seeing a lot of just barely greens, and when I was trying out some of the higher carb foods.

The mid-day test isn't necessary. If you get a higher than expected PS test, then testing 3 or so hours later will tell you if the pancreas is kicking in any endogenous insulin. That may be why you thought you needed to test.

Right. Oh well, I'm probably happy to know that Kitty's mid-day tests have been in range this week. And I'm not even a testaholic!! Thanks.

Awesome day for Kitty!   ...and proud of you for letting go of the mid-day test. And see, you're still standing...and so is HE! ;-)

:RAHCAT Congrats on Day 7- Half way there!! :RAHCAT

Re: 4/23 Kitty AMBG 95, PMBG 81!

I'm glad I didn't realize that Day 7 was "hump day." I would have been more nervous!

and proud of you for letting go of the mid-day test.

To be honest, Kitty and I both enjoyed skipping it!

He ate about 15 minutes before this PMBG. I hope I don't need to worry that he's too LOW. If I do, someone tell me, and I'll get right on it!

Look at that! Nope, not too low.PURRRRRRRRRRRRfect.

what are you going to do with all that time you used to spend worrying?
