Belle's Condo

Belle has been on a yo-yo, but at least it's predictable. We'll see how she goes today. I do believe once she's off the amoxicillin and I can try the Blue Wilderness food again, things will get more stable. She gets half can of Blue in the morning and half at night, and not only is it better for her, it makes her eat less of her high carb IBD food. I'd like to get rid of that completely, but because her stomach is so sensitive and and we are away a lot, it has to stay.

Edit: I think I mentioned it in an earlier condo, but as an FYI... She is still on Prednisolne 5MG twice a day. I wanted to take her off, but the Vet is hesitant because if she has cancer, it's the only thing keeping it from getting worse. I know this is a major issue for her diabetes, but I do agree with the Vet that we need to weigh all of her issues and find a middle ground.

Morning Belle & Jason - I see where you say you are away a lot Jason. Would a a timed feeder be of any assistance? See the link to the reviews and uses.

Hi! I havent visited your condo since you came, but want to suggest maybe mixing the dry food with the wet, and maybe decreasing the amount of dry a little every day, and adding more wet--Just to help get the numbers down a little--If this is doable, great, this is the way many of us detox our furbabies off the dry--Hope you see some nice numbers today! It is getting better :mrgreen:
 
Unfortunately, a timed feeder wouldn't work since we have 7 other cats. Between my wife and I, we are usually around enough to do a morning and night feeding, and I'm hoping to start that again next week with the Blue Wilderness. I can't say for sure, but it seemed to help for the first few weeks she was on insulin. Blue Wilderness Duck is the only wet food I've found that she'll eat(I've tried everything that I can get locally and a bunch of prescription food). I stopped giving it to her because she got severe intestinal issue that may or may not have been partially attributed to the food. Once I'm convinced she's completely over the stomach bug, I'll know for sure if the Wilderness gave her any tummy issues. If it doesn't that will help reduce the dry food she takes in. I really wish feeding was easier, but I've been struggling with it for well over a year, and her pickyness, sensitive stomach and feeding schedules have made it very difficult.
