So it looks like we've lost control and the vet won't do the dental for another 5 days. Is he gonna be ok? Should we be waiting that long? She does dentals on tuesday and its friday morning now. Do I increase his insulin or ride it out? Poor baby.
 
I actually think he's not moving much and not bouncing like last week. I'm very concerned about what will happen if he stays above the threshold for 5 days.

I am not sure you should be concerned about one yellow number. He looks like he’s been pretty steady, and one higher than usual number could be caused by a lot of things. If the dental issue is causing the higher number then it looks like you’re addressing it by taking him to the dentist. Not sure there is anything more you can do except wait? :bighug:
 
Try not to worry so much, even if he does go over the threshold for 5 days (or more, he may take a little time to settle again after the dental) it’s not going to do any permanent damage. Remember how long he was over the threshold when he first started. I wouldn’t make the decision to increase yet based on the data you have, which is nothing for the past two nights. I know how horrible it must feel seeing a yellow when you haven’t for so long but in the overall scheme of things it’s nothing to worry about ;)

Thank you, i actually thought it was an easy legitimate question I just needed someone to say this this at the start so thank you.
