Fuds spike! I shot a BCS last night after she threw me a 48 at +11.5 (which would have normally been her PMPS), and I did give he a reduction from 2.50U to 2.25U this morning. She had been doing so well with 2.50U that hopefully going with the reducie won't turn out to be a bad decision, but if it does, we will take her right back up.
All went well with the vegan Easter Pizza last night...my Dad even asked me to leave the leftovers! However, leading up to it...the last few minutes here at home, what a fiasco!! I started getting kitty dinners ready a little earlier than usual. As I was going about the prep business, I accidentally knocked Trix's bowl (it was empty) off the counter and it shattered. This is the second bowl I've broken in the last two weeks...I was frustrated with myself, and let's just say I was rather vocal about that frustration. Even though Trix was in the next room, I managed to scare her. She is usually a rock - the loudest thunderstorm that you can imagine ...the kind that shakes the house...doesn't even phase her. But apparently she does not like it when her bean gets upset. So, right before I have to do PMPS, feed, shoot, and head out the door...she is freaked out by StupidBean and dives under the couch. UGH!! Not two minutes later, DaddyBean, who was working on some ductwork in the basement, comes rushing up the stairs and calmly announces, "I just drilled through my finger." Not quite comprehending what I just heard, I asked, "What?"...and he repeats it. Holy s*** (and yes, Shelly, this time I don't mean the fluffy white stuff!). DH is NOT accident-prone, but you wouldn't guess that from the last couple weeks! He's got his hand under the kitchen faucet, blood gushing out of it; Trix is under the couch afraid of crazy stupid MamaBean; and we have to get out the door to go to my folks for dinner in half an hour. UGH again! His finger did stop bleeding pretty quickly, and we then saw that he drilled all the way through the fat pad of his index finger and started to go into the side of his middle finger, too!!!
At this point, I still can't get Trix out from under the couch, even with my spoonful of FortiFlora as a peace-offering. Yep, she happily licked that up, but she was NOT budging! DH, bloody hand wrapped in a towel, finally managed to get her out, although juggling her with the use of one hand was not easy. I finally get her settled for her PMPS...I could feel her tension, but she was relaxing. Then I get that crazy 48...again, right before we have to leave. UGH yet again! I gave her some HC with karo, then gave her dinner. I retested before actually shooting and she was coming up. I did go with a BCS and left her more HC fuds to munch on while we were out. I knew we wouldn't be gone long, but it was still a bit nerve-wracking.
All finally ended well. This morning, DH's fingers look OK...nope, no visit to the ER for this one, either. My Dad is definitely tired, but getting better. He ate a decent dinner, which is good because his appy has been lacking. Crazy whirlwind, though.
I gotta squeeze a quick pre-work workout in. Have a great day, LL!
