Trix has decided the lagoon is the place to be this morning  !
We head out to have her BP/BW check at about +5.25. She tends to drop under stress, rather than climb...so hopefully we'll have a nice surf going for today's vetty visit! And hopefully the ACEI in addition to the amlodipine (finally consistently remember how to spell it  !) will have done the trick of nudging her BP back down to where we want it to be. We're also doing BW ahead of schedule today, because we need to make sure the ACEI isn't causing any other sort of issues.
I am hoping for the best with all of this and Trix is as radiant as ever...she certainly is feisty, bright-eyed, has a great appy, snuggle, social, etc. But I have to admit, at this point, I don't think anything will surprise me anymore, since all of our current "issues" were a totally unexpected shocker.
When I talked to my Mom yesterday afternoon, she said my Dad continues to ssssslllloooowwwwllly improve. The fever is gone and he is eating better, but he is just really, really worn out from this infection. I doubt he's even thought about whether or not for sure he's going to treat the prostate cancer, although I do know he's really aggravated that every time he has any sort of procedure done, he ends up with complications that wallop him, so I don't think he's gang busters about the thought of treatment. And, I've heard that many older men DON'T treat prostate cancer, since treatment can do more damage than good. But his case is a little unique in that - aside from this - he is absolutely the picture of health despite being 82 (which none of the doctors can believe he's "that old"!). We, we'll see.
I will post a Trix update when we get back from the vetty. We probably won't have the BW back until mid-week next week, because of the holiday tomorrow, and because of my vetty's usual "days off" schedule.
Have a great day, LL!
