i wasn't sure where to post this update but here goes.
Monster is still going strong (64 @+2 dinner) pancreas is reporting for duty. It's her attitude that could use a little adjustment, lol
Her civvie sister went in on 4/9 for her dental/lump removal/x-rays. She did great. Had one molar extraction and the lump on top of her head removed. Vet said she had a pretty severe case of arthritis in her spine, left hip and left knee. I opted to start her on Adequan and the Vet agreed that would be beneficial. She seems to be tolerating it fine. A bit of diarrhea but S. Boulardii seems to help a bit. On 4/13 I came home from work to find she had ripped her stitches on her head from scratching it. I was finally able to get her in on 4/15 and they added 3 staples to it and she now wears a cover, similar to a happy hoodie, to try to keep her from getting at it.
On the other hand, Monster is suffering from Non-recognition Aggression, she doesn't know who Angel is. It started the moment I brought Angel home after her surgery. Monster is hissing less at her now. They will eat side by side and tolerate each other but Monster will still hiss if Angel try to cuddle with her like they have always done. I'm just giving it more time in hopes that they will be able to get their relationship back to normal.
The Vet texted me yesterday to let me know the results came in on the lump. It was a benign tumor involving the hair follicle called a Trichoblastoma. No concern for cancer at all, so I'm so relieved!!
Monster's dental will be scheduled next. Likely sometims next month. Her teeth were not as bad as Angel's were and at this point, she doesn't need any extractions that the Vet could see.
