We are getting there. Nice lower blue this morning. Another drop given. I'm figuring that once Spot gets some nice green preshots consecutively, we can stop with the TOI.

WCR: Was very happy to see me get up out of bed this morning. Headed towards testing spot then decided he needed to go let the drooler in (she was barking to come in), so off we went. Did some nice purr-purring getting test and didn't wait any time running out to the kitchen for his breffis. Very patient while the grub was getting prepared and ate every morsel. He is now giving himself his morning bath. Maybe if it's a little warmer today he can go out and sit on his chair. Seems all is well in Spot's world!

Going btb! It's cold and feeling a tad damp outside, so no sense staying up..it seems like a good cuddle under the covers morning to me! Maybe the furries will feel the same and join me!
 
Great start for Spot, sounds like he is feeling pretty good, too. Hope you enjoyed the btb. Definitely a chill in the air again.

Mr. Man went green :-D ! Will be watching him close to make sure all stays in good numbers.

BTB'ing was awesome...slept in later than usual (by one hour!) and two furries decided that it was a good idea to come and join me. Spot hardly ever go btb with me, but he was snoozing on the window seat next to the bed when I woke up..and snoozing soundly. He was more than happy to get his test and even more happier to get his snack..it was a half hour late, you know! He is now lounging next to me, on the arm of the chair. Doesn't seem to interested in going outside...cold and damp isn't the ideal lounge outside day for him.

Well, gotta go do some laundry and then will visit some condos. Everyone enjoy your Sunday (gosh it's so nice to have two days off in a row :lol: )

So glad to hear Spot's doing fine now.

Looking good...gave him a little bit of hc (just a pinch, I didn't go overboard) gravy mixed in w/ his low carb...don't really want him to drop to much, but I also don't want to push him over the edge since he seems to react to the higher carb foods.

It was kind of funny...I knew I had some m/c food around here, just knew it...so when I went for it, I couldn't find it...then remembered that we had fed it to Ali when she started to eat the wet food as her primary meals. So I had to grab all the cans of FF I had and go to J&B's chart to check the carbs...and found out they were all low carb...the highest was 4%...Then I checked Spot's hypo kit...ahhhh...2 cans of 18% FF.. All the while, Spot was sitting on the counter very very patiently, waiting for his snack. He is now chillaxin on the chair in the dining room.

just threw up lots of fur and stuff. I figured that since he has been grooming himself to excess today, it seems. He is feeling better after this episode...sitting on the bay window sill looking out. He had a little bit of h/c food to eat, just a smidgen.

no doubt in my mind that this is a bounce...Spot has not seen 52 in a long time, thus my feeling. I shot another drop...it can't hurt.

Jill...question...when should I stop giving the TOI? Should I treat this as I would if I was giving insulin and wait until he hits the 40's and quit insulin or do wait until I get so many consecutive greens before I stop?

WCR: Spent some time outside on his chair enjoying the fresh air...certainly wasn't enjoying the sunshine cuz there wasn't any. He ate his dinner and is now taking a nice snooze in the middle of the pillows on his grammie beans bed. Probably won't see him until his nini test. Yes, I know my cat, lol.

I like what that one drop is doing for Spot...getting him into the lower numbers is a good thing for him. He continues to do great...is now waiting for me to get his nini snack together so that he can go to bed.

good question, deb. there's no "pat" answer. i can only tell you what i would do. i would probably continue with a drop for about a week... maybe more depending on the numbers. although, if he drops below 50 you might want to just see if he can manage on his own...

Going to give him his snack now and go btb until morning.
