She has a vet appointment today with her usual vet to see how to handle. It looks like she re scratched her eyes when she itched her ears. Originally i thought she had itched her eyes due to allergies but she definitely got her ears this time so i don't know. She is on medicine already for ears. She had diarrhea last night all over herself and I cleaned her up Maybe she got upset after she scratched eyes. We'll see what vet says.

My Gravy girl had her last shot this morning. Her breathing worsened suddenly and vet confirmed it was her heart. Unfortunately, she also had cancer. We let her go a couple of hours ago. She was very loved and will be missed by us and our pups.
Thank you all so much for helping with the diabetes. I know getting her better regulated was making her feel better.
I'm donating the syringes, meter, and strips for a rescue.

Oh (((Vicki))), I’m so very sorry to read this post. She was such a sweetie and you did so much for her. You’re an amazing pet Mom. I’ll miss talking with you :(
Please take care of yourself. You did everything you could for your sweet Gravy
Sending you hugs of support and sympathy :bighug::bighug::bighug::rb_icon:cat_wings>o

Staci, I'll miss talking to you, too! Give Ivy a kiss for Gravy. It was the right thing, but still hard. I really thought Gravy would be ok, but when she went in lto the vets today it was very clear.
Have fun with your kitty, and when we're ready we'll get another:)

I will give Ivy kisses from you all. My heart is breaking for you and your family.
I’m just sorry for Gravy and you. I didn’t think it seemed that bad, but of course you were there to see her condition. Poor sweet baby.
I hoped to hear better news on your behalf. Again, my deepest condolences. I know you made the hardest and best decision for Gravy.
Wishing you much peace :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you. She had such a good morning yesterday. I kept hoping but the vet confirmed heart and cancer. I had cured her eye issues with the terramyacin per the vet, so her closing her eyes were from pain. I think she never completely recovered from the pancreatitis but I guess there was more going on, which I didn't know. At least the syringes, test strips, etc will go to a good cause.

Vicki, I am so sorry. :bighug::bighug::bighug: Heart issues and cancer can come on so quickly. This must be such a shock for you. Take care of yourself. You did everything you could for her.

Rest in piece sweet Gravy. :rb_icon:

Very sorry. RIP Gravy, you were well loved.

Thank you all! I was hoping I would be here for awhile but it wasn't meant to be. You are such a kind group and both I and Gravy girl appreciate all the help. I finally got some good sleep and am enjoying catpuccinos this morning. A friend already is asking me about taking another kitty, but I'm not quite ready. I'm sure another one who can handle my 4 shepherds will come eventually.
Enjoy all the time with your kitties!

It's hard. I miss her very much. I thought her eyes were still infected, but when we put her on floor at vet, she just sat there with her eyes mostly shut, and looked like she felt so terrible. Her eyes were shut, and she probably was scratching her eyes so much because of pain. I didn't want it to be time, but it was and was the right thing to do.

I've already been offered kitties, but I need a little time to process everything and deal with the sadness first. A friend of mine who is a dog trainer has her training kitty who isgood with making big dogs behave :cat:, and he may be coming here ultimately but we'll see.

Thank you all for your kindness and for all the time everyone took to help.

Sending you healing and peace, Vicki. It’s so so hard.
I still ache over the loss of my former kitties gone almost 20 years.
I think all of us here feel like you do.
Sending you much love :bighug::bighug::bighug:
