Happy Saturday LL

Thanks again everyone for coming to the party yesterday.
Max had an amazing time but I did not get to hear too much as he flew out the door
to get to Hank's Party and he needed to make a few stops on the way.

Today was the first time that I did not set the alarm for 630am to do the ole test/feed/no shot routine.
Last night though I had no idea what I was going to do with food and getting some numbers
out of him.
I set the timer throughout the night but instead of turning to empty, I let it go and had it turn to their normal breffis time, 700am
I finally got out of bed at 830 and had 3 hungry kitties staring me down, the feeder with 3 bowls was all empty.
I had no idea when Max had last ate so i just went with it and tested him anyways.
73. Happy about that one.
He has been up and about, coming for food and I even sprinkled catnip on the kitchen floor which he totally enjoyed.
Now he has found a new/old place for his 3rd or 4th nap. On one of my nice den chairs.

Oh I almost forgot. I stopped at vet #1's today to stick my tongue out at her, now that Max had his party but she was busy. I will be back!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

So glad to hear from you--Missed you allready!--You did a spectacular job with Max & now you can enjoy sleeping late and having some peace in your life, but I know you will never forget what an experience this has been here in lantus land--
Come visit anytime, plenty of room in our condo(we own it you know, no sense in renting :lol: )--We all love you all!! HUGS~!!!!
 
Hey Max! You got some catnip for an after-breakfast treat!! Mighty nice! I had a great time at your party, man. But I was tired when I got home. Rest up this afternoon, cause you've got to get to Hank's party tonight. Wear your green cowboy hat, OK? I'm leaving early so I can do some last-minute cooking. See you later, buddy.

Hi Randi, Only the first day and already you're off your schedule!!!!! Good for you! But I see that you couldn't refrain from testing Max!!! Have a lovely weekend (I hope your weather is better than ours: we had snow flurries this morning). Come post in Stu's condo frequently. We want to keep up with Marvelous Max!

Sounds like Max is enjoying not having to get shots anymore! Very nice morning! Catnip, naps... ahh life at the Falls must agree with him :-D

I'm about to head out with my sis to a pet store across town in the never ending quest to find cheap foods the brats will eat and toys for the kitten. Hubby would have had a heart attack if he knew how much last night's trip really cost us. I returned a $50 item in exchange for food and still spent $39. He only paid attention to the $39 :lol:
 
haha_smiley I did a double take on the subject New/Oldtimer; maybe we need to coin a new word for someone who's been gone only a few days! How about a Newtimer? Naw.

Anyways, glad you're here and even glader to hear how our man Max is doing.

And that vet #1 visit? Take a copy of your ss and attach a note to say something like
"If you wanna know how to properly treat FD, gimme a call! Seeya!"

Or something like that. :thumbup

What's Max do with his catnip? Cats are all so different - Shadoe eats some but rolls in it also. Oliver just seems to lap it up like milk until it's all gone.

Max is gone for a day so being an old timer didn't fit either.

Gayle, you really want me to remind you what max used to do with catnip??? How we forget.
First he chomps on it, then rolls around all over it. Then I held my breath and watched and waited cuz he used to make peepee on the kitchen floor.
Big sigh that he didn't this time but DPS told me someone did in one of
his catbeds this week. Good thing I have 3.

I like your idea about the ss and I even have a colour printer now in the house.
I will drop it off and let her put it in the file. I can't wait to tell vet #2. Going to just send an email saying, thanks, got Max off insulin without your help. If you want to save any of your
patients, send them my way. :lol: :lol:

HI I love the "oldtimer" report hahaha! Wasn't it heaven to not have to get up today? I wonder what that is like?! Max must be pooped from yesterday but he has lots of parties to attend so he better keep up his strength. He really pee pee's on the floor from playing with catnip? hahahah it must excite him so much that he pees!!! Well I know you will be around and you better be because we will miss you! Have a great Caturday!!!

Boy did YOU time this right. You got a legit condo the day after so no withdrawl required... PLUS your surrogacy for Mindy/Max.

I told you, I think we may require eviction.

I have only wanted to be up here today, and to share Hank's great day and NO ONE else gets it. My dad said, oh, that's nice. My friend, oh, my internet is down...whatever. I'm even trying to get Hank to look, but he's too busy partying.

Seriously Randi, I know it's cliche, but these are my kids. I have no DH, DD, etc.. these are the centers of my universe. Why does it look so crazy from the outside to love your cat so much and have parties for them & be excited they have a video in their honor (which i LOVED)?

So we have dancing and drinking cats. dancing_cat drinking09 What's the big deal?

Speaking of, Max has passed out on Margaritas...but he's sleeping it off for a few minutes. Don't tell him I said anything.
I will shove some nachos and chili down him when he wakes up to take the edge off. Don't expect him home anytime soon, ...they all look like they are starting to get a second wind after last night!

So how late did you sleep?

i got up and walked 3 miles for the first time in awhile. As long as I get the BG before food, I'm not going to worry about any certain time.

Happy Caturday (ol timer :lol: ) yeah....
