Yesterday's Novel
Happy Fursday, LL! Cinco is still recovering from all his activity yesterday. He's currently sprawled out in his hidey hole, sawing logs I-) I-) I-) !
No signs of his messing with the bandage on his leg (the professional one from the oncology staff, as opposed to my poor efforts). I can't get a good look at his tummy without disturbing him, and I am not one who messes with sleeping kitties unless I have to, but from what I've seen this morning he is leaving it alone. Perhaps the collar threat worked. That, and the instructions from his LL aunties! He really is such an obedient cat. Loved his pretty blue cycle last night. Hoping for a little more of the same today. A dosecrease is still on the table, but I think another day of rest after the vet visit is in order before making a decision.
Per Elise's advice, I joined the Yahoo Feline Lymphoma group. I have to say, it's not nearly as user friendly and organized as FDMB!!! I guess I have pretty high standards for these things, now. I have gotten some feedback from people with kitties diagnosed with lymphoma. None with ocular. One said hers was diabetic and did well on chemo, but from what I could gather, her kitty didn't survive very long after competing the chemo - not much info given (Monica and Atticus - does anyone remember them?). After reading posts from people going through the chemo and seeing the problems they were having and how their kitties were feeling, I really am more convinced I want to avoid that if I can. Sounds absolutely miserable for all involved. Our natural inclination is to do everything possible to keep our kitties with us, but I have been through that with two babies in the past, and both suffered needlessly just because I couldn't let go. I do not want to make that mistake again. I am still planning to go with the wait and see approach.
Thanks for all the support and advice and just for being there. You people really are the very best and I feel so blessed to have found this place. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:
Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG:
Prayers and good dental vines to Lucy, hugs to Mariko.
Cheers to Davidson, Boots and Jersey on OTJ trials. :RAHCAT
Missing Rachel and Chyna. :YMHUG:
