WCR: was very quiet last night. Her auto feeder, again, did not open at her +9 feeding (5 a.m.) so the last time she ate was between +7.5-+9.

This mornings shot would be mochas 7th cycle at (F)2.0. She saw green on the second cycle, and none since. She has seen blue, even last night, but she only went down to 150, then went right back up.

When will she be ready for an increase?

Re: 4/16 mocha amps 246, increase?

Mocha went pretty low on the f2.0. There may be room for an increase but my gut feeling is you are going to see green today.
See what others think about an increase.

Re: 4/16 mocha amps 246, increase?

Well, don't know for sure what you should do.....maybe others will make some suggestions....but I know how you are feeling. You did wait the full 6 cycles and aren't too thrilled but as Miriam said, see what happens through the cycle today.....

Re: 4/16 mocha amps 246, increase?

It looks like you're getting some consistent blues during the PM cycles. See how this morning goes. I do think there's room to increase in order to bring the entire level down.

Re: 4/16 mocha amps 246, increase?

Was checking out the SS - I agree that I would see how today goes and if you don't see some nice green bump back up. You had some action pretty quick the last time you bumped her up - maybe it will kick start Mocha again

Re: 4/16 mocha amps 246 +5.5 264

no action as of yet. Will most likely take her to 2.25 tonight. Was noticing right eye definitely seems more boogery then normal and maybe a little red, on the outside where it's normally white? If that makes sense. If we had the money I would take her to the vet for it, it might be irritating her I don't know. Instead we are saving money to take her to the dental vet next week for a recheck, to make sure everything looks good. I can't believe they are charging us for that considering what we paid to have them do it in the first place, but they are so we need to save up for that now.

Re: 4/16 mocha amps 246 +5.5 264

Hi Devon. Just stopping by to say "hello". It always irks me that a vet clinic will charge a fee to do a recheck on a surgery/procedure that was very costly initially.
When I got my Little One, he had just had surgery on an eye. When It started bleeding and was oozing pus, I rushed him in for check, and they charged me. They would have put it on the bill of the SPCA, who paid for the original surgery, but he was my cat by then, and my responsibility. There should not have been a charge at all, for it, in my opinion.
I think that you shouldn't have to pay to have Mocha's mouth rechecked either. That should be included in surgery. I'm repeating myself...sorry!

taking her back up to 2.25 tonight. Barb, I don't think it's right either. I mean, THEY did the surgery they should want to recheck it, just to make sure there are no complications .. and in my opinion, they should do it for free. Instead they are charging us ... and I'm just praying everything has healed up correctly, so there aren't any extra charges!

OK, lets see if this dosecrease will make her rock and roll this weekend. Maybe when you go back to the dentist if the eye is still off they would look at it??? Maybe if you begged real nice for an eye drop??? Do you have a working relationship with your regular vet that if you called and asked for an eye drop that they would call one in for you without being seen (especially if you explain the having to go back to dental vet and letting them know that for sure you'd bring her in if it didn't seem to help within a few days??)

The only good thing about this vet billing is that they would probably have charged you that much MORE for the first visit.

Have you already said whether something in particular irritated mocha's eye?

I don't think anything got into mochas eye, but when she only turns her eye, and not her head, on the side where it's white, it's now a pinkish color. This does happen time to time with mocha, not real sure why, but we have been cleaning off extra "boogies" way more then normal.

We don't go back to the dental vet till next weekend, the 24th. I am hoping her eye clears up by then. If it hasn't I can ask that vet about it, but they made it pretty clear they really ONLY do dental work, not much of anything else. At least, that is the impression I got when I called them about mocha needing any shots to be up to date for them to work on her. They pretty much said they "could" do shots if we needed them to, but they don't really do anything other then dentals, and if we had permission from our vet blah blah blah ...

I can't say what kind of relationship we have with our local vet. Mocha has only been to her twice, once right after diagnosis, and a few months later when she wasn't eating that much. The vet seems nice enough, but not real sure if she would just call in a 'script for us and right now funds are to tight to get in another vet visit.

We will be hoping it clears up though ... and keeping an eye on it!

Thanks for all the suggestions though!
