For those of you not on FB, I'll paste @Squeaky and KT (GA)'s post here. She could use all the power of L&L Land vines for her civvie, Spike:

Prayers/thougths/light for our Spike Kitty please. Neighbor's loose running dogs got hold of him, have been at ER for last 3 hours. He's got staples holding his stomach together and, altho' radiographs didn't show any broken or displaced bones/spine/etc, he is having trouble walking. One back leg isn't working, the other is very wobbly. He goes back for an xray tmw am to check on a bit of gas that somewhat concerned the vet - hopefully not a abdominal cavity puncture. We cleaned out every bank acct, the grocery money and all the bit of 'emergency fund' but we got him out of hock. Right now he needs lots of prayers....lots... UPDATE: We're back from this morning's vet checkup. If there was a hole into the abdominal cavity it sealed itself as we have no signs of gas leaking. He's not paralyzed but he does have unknown nerve damage at this point. His back legs aren't working properly, one is dragging completely but he CAN move it. He's having to almost drag his butt to where he wants to go but he gets there. He hasn't gone to bathroom yet...

Lets get them flowing her way, please. Lyresa doesn't post here much, but she always shows up when someone needs encouragement or has to say goodbye to their sugarbaby. She could use our support.

Vines and prayers and white light headed to Spike, Lyresa, and :bighug:s for you.

Sending mega vines for Spike and lots of healing white light too!

Hugs for Lyresa :bighug::bighug::bighug:

THANK YOU ALL! I'm so very blessed to be part of this family. Each of you just taking time to post helps so very much. I'm kind of a basket case today.

Right now Spike's trying to tell me he's done but I'm not listening to him for a couple of days - I'm not done fighting yet. If I can get the first healing done, him eating and pain meds consistent, THEN I'll let him tell me 'what'. He's not doing well this afternoon but I know he hurts and has severe upset stomach. I've given him meds for that, hopefully he'll feel like eating at least a bit of tuna to get pain meds in a bit. He's hiding in his 'box'. One staple has come loose but there's 11 others. I don't like the looks of the inside of the gap showing, looks pussy, but he's on ab's....

Again, THANK YOU ALL and all hugs returned BIG TIME...

Oh Lyresa, how terrible! I am sending mega-prayers and healing vines for Spike! I agree, way too early to stop fighting!!! For what it's worth, I had a kitty that got used as a tug-of-war- toy between two dogs, I was sure she would never survive, or never walk again, if she did. To my amazement she recovered completely!
Many, many (((hugs)))!

Got bit of food in via syringe as well as pain med and a/b for the evening. So far he's kept it down but isn't interested in eating on his own. He DID move the hip to readjust that floppy leg/foot! Not much but he hadn't done that yet. It's hurting my heart to watch him struggle...and not have a magic wand to make it all better.

Hugs and hugs back 'cos I get them longer...

(((Lyresa & DH))), We are sending tons of prayers and healing vines to Spike Kitty tonight. What a horrible thing to happen to him! I hope you can get him to rally. Every little positive step is going to latch on to the one before it. Spike, we are with you and your wonderful beans. Fight, little guy!

Update this morning....he still can't control or move the leg from knee down, it just trails behind him when he moves. He did go pee by himself but is refusing to eat and fought me when I tried to syringe feed this morning. I got a few cc's down him but he didn't appreciate it at all. The huge stapled wound still looks good.

I'm scared that the refusing to eat is him trying to still give up.... :(

more prayers and hugs for you and Spike :bighug::bighug::bighug:
Be strong for him, there is huge wave of love and care coming your way from here.
No one has good appy after a surgery.
More hugs for you.
I pray he eats soon.

You have waves of love and support and healing vines surrounding you sweet Spike!!
More :bighug::bighug::bighug: and love and support to you Lyresa.

Good sign: poop! Another good sign: the stapled wound looks good. Come on, Spike Kitty: you can do it! Eat a little for your mamabean and remember that all your pals here are pulling for you.

More healing vines on the way, Lyresa, and some big :bighug::bighug::bighug:s for you and Bernie.

OH MY GOOD GOLLY GOSH!!!!! HE'S TRYING TO EAT!!!!

Well technically he's just licking warm tuna but he's INTERESTED in food! This is the first sign of hunger since this happened. I went to his room - he's bright eyed, the sunken eyes and the 'give up' looks are gone!!! Oh I'm a dancing crying blubbering idiot about now!!!!!!!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!

THANK YOU ALL for all the thoughts, prayers, hugs....keep them coming, we still need them but oh I'm just SO happy with even this little step!!!!

Are you still giving the Ondansetron? I would continue it, especially while he's on pain meds and a/b, as they can upset the tummy.

I hadn't thought of that Tricia...I only gave him that one dose when he first couldn't keep stuff down. I'll give him a dose in a bit....my brain's still a bit foggy. Seems when something like this happens, everything I know just disappears into thin air...
