Lowest ambg in a few days, so that is good  He also hit a green number for his nini bg, which made me very very happy. But that +3 is heartbreaking  There was some LBA last night after Spot had his nini snack, some stinkie's, but was normal (no pudding), except it was a lot, lol. Hopefully that made him feel better.
I did speak to the vet, and she felt that insulin is not necessary AT THIS POINT. I'm just hoping that I know if and when that point comes. I guess when he goes over 200, but I fear that when he gets to that point, it may be to late....sigh :YMSIGH:
The ingrediants for the GlenHaven T/G gel are: Ingredients: 1% Acetic Acid, Sodium Hexametaphosphate, Cinnamon-Clove flavor I looked the first two ingredients up and didn't see anything that may cause a rise in bg's, but not sure about the clove & cinnamon flavors. I administered the gel this morning before I left....so now I have one of those "things that make you go hummmmm" moments.
I read yesterday's condo and given some of your responses, I am going to follow this game plan:
1) Since it takes about 48 hrs. before the ab's start doing their magic (Last night's dose made it 48 hours), so I need to sit on my hands for a little while longer.
2) Will continue to observe and get several spot checks.
3) Will go and get some probiotics, even tho Spot does not have any runny poos.
4) Discontinue the GlenHaven T/G gel for now.
5) Have positive thoughts and give Spot lots of lovins.
Thanks everyone for your input yesterday. Hopefully, things will start to look better.
