Good morning, furbaby friends! Baby Girl's Body was not quite ready for the micro dose, so we have dosecreased to .25 this morning. Nice drop for +4
WCR Baby continues to challenge me with her eating. I am getting so frusturated at enticing her & carrying her to her food - hand holding the plate to her mouth, etc. All efforts exhaust me & the not eating when I am not home is a whole other story. I am weighing her tonight. The warmer weather & generally lower #s may have something to do with it - but I don't know - I read about other cats begging for food & finishing their food & they are in good #s too. I am even trying different foods, but her main food is Raw - which she continues to love.
Baby went outside today & all 5 Ps are not quite in place yet.

I am at work & doubt I will go home to check her on lunch today.. Unless I decide to, but doubtful.

that is a great drop for +4 Nicole! Sorry to hear about baby's eating habits ... I do carry mochas food to her if she is laying on a chair or couch somewhere, and if I just tested her, but other then that she knows she eats in the kitchen. Well, she eats close to the kitchen I should say, because some mornings she absolutely refuses to eat on the kitchen linoleum. She will ONLY eat on the carpet. Go figure. I hope you get something worked out though. I know that must be frustrating.

Ya, those eating habits sound hard to deal with. She naturally likes to eat, right?

I remember she doesn't get treats either. Hmmm. Moses is a decent eater, but if he's sad it's hard to say. Of course, whenever he exercises (like running around outside or out of the LB, lol) he always goes in for a snack attack. Have you noticed anything like that w/Baby?

We need to make her a menu and allow her to choose what she craves. Maybe she want a choice? lol ;-) I hope this gets worked out nicely. You two are looking so great! :YMHUG:

Ive come to the conclusion, picky eater + being a cat. ohmygod_smile

She's doing really well though, go with it!

Here are my "get him to eat" tips:

FortiFlora - all cats seem to love this stuff! Sprinke it on and they eat at least a little.

Nutritional Yeast flakes - another go-to for me. You can get this in Whole Foods or similar places. It's high in B-12 and good for them. I got this idea from my BF whose recipe for raw dog food included this. Boomer loves the taste.

Parmesan cheese-works for some. I think I remember Baby doesn't like it.

Crumble up freeze dried treats on top of the food.

Put chicken chunks or deli meat bites on their food.

Add chicken broth to thier food.

That's all I've got! I hope it helps! Hang in there!!!!

Hi Nicole and Baby! Well looks like bringing her back up helped!!! Maybe she just needs a little more time. Let me know if you try the yeast flakes, they sound interesting! Tried forti flora last night and cats loved it but fortunately for me my 2 kitties are not picky!!! They will eat almost anything I put in front of them. Have you tried the Halo freeze dried chicken treats. My cats go insane for them, I use them as a testing treat and also as a snack. They are good for them too, all protein. Just a thought! Baby is sure making you work Nicole.
She knows how much you love her and these little tweakings of dose
can be difficult but Baby is doing so well.
You are a very devoted mama.

Libby, I owe you an apology (((I'm sorry))) You had said I could dosecrease back to .25, but to wait until seeing what today's AM cycle looks like. Based on that - plan the PM cycle accordinly. I misread & dosecreased this morning. I really apologize - I value you & Jill's expertise & experience, I certainly do not want you to think I ignored, I am grateful!! I suspect she will not be on .25 long, but I will deal with that when it happens. Please accept my apology :YMHUG:

((((Nicole)))) don't worry. I can make suggestions, but Baby is your kitty and in the end you're the one who needs to do what feels right. Just watch her closely, this dose has a lot of "oomph" to it.
