Good Morning everyone!
Wow, what a shocker to see Stella at a 38 yesterday! I had to give her her insulin injection for the PM late last night, and her BGs were wacky, so hopefully I will figure out her correct dose before my next work trip. It looks like she had a sunshine surf last night. I expected that sunshine surf because after a 38 I knew she would overwork the pancreas to get her BGs up, and bounce. On top of that I reduced her dose so I could sleep last night because I have to be into work early...meaning her AM injection will be early. I will most likely keep the 1F trying to balance all of these variables. Hopefully Friday and Saturday I can get us back on track. Hopefully she will wiggle her way down to the 1 F and we will be able to keep it.
I have also been thinking that on this work trip I may have the kitty sitter do a 'token' dose anyway so I don't come to a droopy hypo kitty like last time. I still can't get that image out of my head. Stella is probably still trying to adjust to the too much insulin while I was away. Seeing her 'state' I wonder how any vet lets people just 'blind shoot'. What a game of russian roulet! My vet tech doesnt really 'know' Stella so she wouldn't be able to see the change in Stella like I can.
Everything is in place with all of the P's. Even Boo has better poo with the new food.
Tonight is our Meet and Greet with another kitty sitter. This one came off of care.com, so let's hope it is a good one!
