Morning Everyone! Having my ~O) and thinking of you all....
Shadow has been so happy and he seems so strong lately. Don't know what it is but he just has that look about him that warms my heart. He had looked so skinny and his fur was so nasty before dx and now he takes such good care of his fur and seems so happy! His numbers are still a mystery to me since he did so well in the past and now he seems to be so high. He pooped last night and has been eating everything all up at each meal/snack time. he was waiting for me on the testing towel after breffis this morning and purrs when he gets his shot as if it's a feel-good drug that is affecting him immediately....weird... :lol:

I had a very strange experience first thing this morning. When i went to the testing towel to test Shadow, RAJA was sitting on it. She usually hangs off to the side waiting for me to do the test for Shadow and then serve them both breffis. SO. There she was right on the towel. I petted her and she didn't move. I grabbed her tiny ear and massaged it a little and she still sat there. :-| UH-OH....
what is she trying to tell me? :o
I reloaded a new lancet into the device and got a test strip loaded into the meter and she still sat there! This has never happened before. I always have to swoop down and surprise her with a spot test...what does THIS mean? She IS very smart...maybe she is trying to tell me something!!! :-|

I held my breath. I pricker her ear. No blood. Her talent. I was not laughing....so I pricked again and I got the smallest of blood beads. She never flinched. She just sat there as if to say "This HAS to be done right now...."
The meter took its sweet time and all the blood drained from my head....I waited......

That's the only explanation I have for this whole scenario. She was showing off!

:lol: That is toooooooo funny, Pat! Though I bet it scared the beegebbers outta ya! Glad she was just showing off. Did you tell Shadow? Seriously, it may have been a sign from Raja that she is trying to help her brother out. :roll: What a crew you have over there!

I hope Shadow takes the hint and gives you some lovely numbers today. You are so very patient and optimistic, even in the most frustrating of times. Your attitude is refreshing.

Funny! I'd probably have been sitting there with a pounding heart too though!

Shadow needs another party. *nods* Yep, that's what he needs. I think there might be a few coming up, bet we'll see some falling numbers when he hears about them. He won't want to miss the fun!

(((Pat))) Bless your heart... I can only imagine how your heart almost stopped.. waiting for the countdown & then BAM 57!! Yay, Raja!!! :thumbup

A few times lately, I have had to "pretend" to test Sadi, I massage her ear.. act like I am getting blood, etc :lol: She comes running when I test Baby sometimes & I just cannot leave her out ;-)

(((Shadow))) what's up in your world? Feeling fine, sounding Grreat!! Why are your #s a lil high? Hmmm... come on down & show Raja how its done!!

I think are cat's are in cahoots. Mocha even had a little LB action this morning .. now if they could just get their numbers down to oh, I don't know, what raja showed off this morning??? Then we would be all set! Have a great day you guys!

I wish Frank would be this compliant..during warming of his ear, he tries to run when he sees an opportunity. Sometimes, he sees an opening to give me a bite, too. :roll:

Nice number for Raja. I hope Shadow gets the hint to come back down to the greens - it really isn't the dark side!

My Josie hovers while I test Tuscany. She knows that test time = treat time and when she is there she gets treats too. And I wonder why she looks fat..... My niece has 2 new kittens - about 8 weeks old now and tiny. I went to see them yesterday - such energy they have. When I got home and looked at Josie I swear she was a giant and had swelled up all over - just the size difference was amazing.

whew, that story had me on the edge of my seat!

Come on down, Shadow, why so high? I would just keep increasing every 6 cycles until you get another breakthrough. It looks like Shadow has lost his momentum again, sometimes they do that several times. It's very annoying but just be the tank.

Actually I thought of testing myself too today, something feels off.

Glad to see Miss Raja pulling an amzing numbers, I hope you showed Shadow the meter.
Remind him there is a party coming up so lets et down into the blues, okay???

A party? I think there are several coming up in the very near future. Shadow needs to get himself ready! He's got a lot of partying to do!

Just catching up on condo's now so I'm behind for the day.. but wanted to say if you hadn't put the 57 in big green letters so I saw it FIRST.. reading this line probably would have made my heart stop.. but.. instead.. I just laughed at you hahaha :).
 
Pat--Do not be discouraged..Moonie has done this more times than I care to remember--She has lost momentum many many times, which is why when she gets a 40's number, I dont take a reduction so fast--Moonie is the queen of sputtering pancreases, and cant hold reductions too well--So as per Jill , Libby, and others, we wait till she has 2 or 3 40's numbers, before I attempt a dose crease..

Sometimes you need to go up before you can go back down...It will happen, be happy for a healthy kitty--We luvs ya & Shadow & Raja, and it will all be better soon! HUGS~! :mrgreen:
