all is well in punkin's world this morning. he's busily purring up a storm. his hair feels really nice - i'm so happy to have the greasies gone. we are weaning him off of the gabapentin and will try the tramadol, probably starting on friday. we've reduced the gaba to once a day, and i do think his mobility has improved. he came up the stairs this morning in one big rush, no pausing and walking the rest of the way. we thought the gaba was making him a little unsteady.

this morning is just a bounce. last night he was 159 at +3 and 130 at +4.5, so i know he got to something lower than that. DH woke me up to say he was at 130, and my sleep-addled brain tried to calculate "if he dropped 29 points in 1.5 hrs, and has 1 hr left to go til nadir. . . " and i concluded i could go back to sleep. so no idea how low he went, but enough to shoot him up to 291 this morning.

tomorrow punkin has an appt with a veterinary cardiologist to check his heart and determine if he can tolerate anesthesia for a dental.

Hi guys .. well this isn't a bad bounce at all .. sunny yellows might drop back down to blue skies later on .. I hope the vetty appt goes well, she can have clean teefers have a great day guys!

Yay for a yellow bounce that's not so bad, maybe punkin is getting the message that his beautiful orange fur doesn't go well with red and pink - sending vines for all the pre-dental tests to go well.
