Boris is still waiting for his bath, was a little to cold here and then I couldn't find any kitty shampoo at any of the stores here. Hopefully tomorrow is the day, I ran into a gal that is bringing me kitty shampoo in the morning.
I'm thinking of making a vet appointment for him, I've been concerned about him drinking water so much. I know might sound a little strange but after he went on all canned food he stopped drinking water. I always have added a can of water to his food and he never touched the water bowl after that till this winter. I thought maybe cause it's dry in the house but he is still doing it.
Reminds of when he first got diabetes he lays by the bowl and drinks.

I hate going to the vet because I know Mew is there and I have to get her too. I dread making that trip of bringer her back here for burial. the girl that works there was going to bring her here for me but she is on maternity leave so I guess I have no choice.

Any thoughts on his water drinking would be appreciated. Other then that he seems fine.

(((Sandy))) I'm sorry you have to make the final trip to bring MisMew home. I know that will be very hard for you.

I think there are a few things that can cause more drinking. Kidney issues could be a possibility. Maybe it's nothing, but I think it's a good idea to have his bloodwork checked out.
 
Hiya Sandy. I came into this condo to see how Boris is doing and I read the boy needs a bath and a vet. :sad: Why does he need a bath? And is he going to like it? And does OK get one too?
 
Talbot seems to drink more when he has higher numbers or a pancreatitis flare. I have noticed him drinking more water since we returned from CA and I have wondered if his kidney values have changed at all. Might be something to check into for Boris.

I know how you feel about going to the vet for Miss Mew. Maybe you will feel better when she is back home with you, I think it helped a little when I brought Mao home.
 
Sandy, Spike has always drank a lot of water. Not as much as before dx, but he loves water. He has water in the kitchen and I put a bowl in the porch. Every morning first thing he does when I let him out to the porch is run to his water bowl for a drink. Id love to get him a fountain but Im afraid hed love it so much water would continuously go in the front and come out the back at the same time..lol
 
Just want to add that Do Lou had also always been a big water boy even before FD now of course to me its related to his BG but before he would still play in his water dish and has always drank more it seemed but it never hurts to get a vet check to make sure everything is OK cat_pet_icon

Heather, Boris needs a bath because he is just to big to clean himself up all over. He used to like them and yep, OK Gabby will get one to, just for fun. she thinks she is suppose to get everything Boris does. cat_pet_icon

LOL at Spike's water going in and out at the same time. :lol:

I agree that a vet visit sounds smart. I also hope that bringing Mew home will make you feel more complete. ((((Sandy))))
