Just took a test and it was 108 so seems like it's going back up. But you're correct, we took him off dry food yesterday. I'm just afraid I won't be able to catch a hypo during weekedays if one occurs.I would see where he goes with the next test. Was he eating a higher carb dry until two days ago? I hope someone more experienced with SLGS can advise you better. Otherwise SLGS says this
Hold the dose for at least a week:
- Unless your cat won’t eat or you suspect hypoglycemia
- Unless your kitty falls below 90 mg/dL (5 mmol/L). If kitty falls below 90 mg/dL (5 mmol/L) decrease the dose by 0.25 unit immediately.
I do not have an auotfeeder but enough people have recommended it that I think I'll get one. Thanks!Do you have an autofeeder? Or can you leave food out for him to keep himself safe should he need it? His numbers do look much better with the food switch, and still safe.
Do you have an autofeeder you recommend? There are a lot of choices so I'm curious what people are usingMy autofeeder gave me peace of mind when I went out.
I think one popular one is the Petsafe 5. It’s on Amazon.Do you have an autofeeder you recommend? There are a lot of choices so I'm curious what people are using

Thanks. It's kind of terrifying to see his numbers get this low as I'm still worried about possible hypo, but I'm glad the process is working so far. I'm going to come home from work around +5 tomorrow to check on him tomorrow.I think one popular one is the Petsafe 5. It’s on Amazon.
Nice numbers today.![]()
