GA 3/8 Marvin crossed over this morning

I had to make such a hard decision this morning. Marvin chest kept filling with fluid, it would fill right back up within a few hours. Last time they tapped him they got about a cup and a half of liquid out. Even with that they still could not see his heart in the Xray. I could't sleep after the last call at 3:30am, so I went to see him, hold him, hug and kiss him. It was so hard, he looked better, he purred for me, even snuggled me, which is not in his personality to do. They explained it was temporary, he would need to stay in the oxygen cage, and based on the ups and down and how quickly the fluids came back prognosis were not good. So I lovingly I hope made the right choice for him.

Marvin I miss you already, you were an amazing unique cat. Thank you for being there for me, for fighting the diabetes and acromegaly, you went through so so much and came out a winner, I think you did that just for me. I will forever love you and remember your strength and how loadly you purred. Your with your brother dog Laddie now, I am sure he greeted you and will show the ropes up there on the other side. I still feel you near me, I even heard you meow in the car on my way home. Rest in peace my little Marvin. Hugs and kisses forever.

I just want to thank everyone who supported Marvin and was there for me two years ago when Marvin was dx with diabetes and then Acromegaly. Special thanks to @Wendy&Neko from Marvin and I for taking every step with us during the Acromegaly diagnosis and bring Marvin to remission by trying Carbogaline. Marvin would have passed 2 years ago with out you. Thank you Wendy..... and FDMB....

My heart is breaking for you -I"m so sorry Marvin's earthly journey ended today - now he is on his next great adventure while remaining in your heart
I'm so so sorry, rest in peace, sweet Marvin

I am so sorry that you had to let Marvin go my heart breaks for you. I am sure he's at the bridge snuggling with his brother Laddie.

I remember Marvin going OTJ, never thought we'd see an acro kitty get there, but he did, it was quite a ride.

((((Nat)))) big hugs coming your way. Making that decision is the hardest one ever, but the last loving thing you did for Marvin. I am so glad that you got year and 1/2 with him post diabetes.

Fly High, Marvin, Land Softly.

{{{{Nat}}}} I am so, so sorry you had to give Marvin his angel wings. :bighug::bighug::bighug: I think you made the right decision, and did what Marvin would have wanted. Neko will be there amongst the first kitties to greet him at the Bridge.

Marvin was a very handsome cat, thank you for including the picture. He was definitely one of a kind, a first and leader in giving acros hope, thanks to all the loving care you gave him.

You are in my heart and thoughts today Nat. We haven't met, but I understand and share your grief, and wish you well today and all the tomorrows. You loved and were loved. Take good care of yourself, and know that you went above and beyond, and bestowed the ultimate gift of love today. Marvin will always be with you. :bighug::bighug:cat_wings>o

I'm SO sorry it was his time to cross Nat....big huge looooong hug. He's not 'gone', you just have to hug him differently.

Soar high on your new angel wings sweet boy - land softly back in Mama's broken heart.

So sorry to hear it was Marvin's time to leave you :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Fly free sweet Marvin and land softly. There are lots of old friends at the bridge to keep you company and show you around until the day comes when you'll be reunited with the ones you love most forever. cat_wings>o

The first Vet I saw yesterday, just called. She had sent some of the fluid from the first tap to be checked and confirmed that it was full of cancer. She wanted to make sure that I knew that I made the right choice. She thinks there was a tumour possibly in his heart which would a line with some abnormal flow the ER vet saw in ultra sound.

Thank you all for your support and well wishes, they mean a lot to me.

((((Nat)))))

Even before seeing the note above, there was no question you did what was best for Marvin and heartbreaking/gut wrenching for you. Battling fluid is agonizing at so many levels. Marvin is flying free along with many of our beloved kitties.

Marvin is a handsome lad. So sorry for your loss. I wasn't here when you started the cabergoline, I read what posts of yours I could find when we started it. Marvin gave us hope it would help Olive. I don't think Olive will go OTJ but it has subdued her symptoms greatly.

I believe Marvin is looking over all us acrocats and cheering us on. You gave the most loving gift to Marvin, not allowing him to be in pain. Until you meet again. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

I thought of you and Marvin all day praying things were going well. I’m heartbroken to be reading this post. I’m so sorry it was Marvin’s time. As hard as it was, you absolutely did what was best for Marvin. You and Marvin were an inspiration to us when Gizmo was first diagnosed with acro. Marvin gave us hope. I know Gizmo was waiting at the rainbow bridge to meet his acro brother. Wishing you peace and comfort at this difficult time. :bighug:

((Nat))). I am deeply sorry for your loss. I don’t know if it helps but I’ve been in the same place with a nondiabetic cat and I know you made the right decision. It’s really impossible to fight that much fluid buildup and it’s not fair to the kitty to keep tapping the chest....there’s no QOL in this kind of situation. You made the hardest decision but the one that showed th extent of your love.

Fly free, Marvin. cat_wings>ocat_wings>o

I am so glad that Marvin gave you hope, it's amazing to think and see that my kitty has a legacy and will be remembered and known by other Acro kitties. It's amazing if you think about it. I am proud of him, and what we accomplished here. Glad that Olive symptoms are better, hope that it kicks in a bit more so you can maybe get to OTJ.

It's always heartbreaking to have to let one of our fur babies fly free...but you did the right thing. Thank you for being so kind and helping him earn his little angel wings. I am sending you bundles of hugs to comfort your aching heart - and I know from first hand experience that ache. Thank you for your mercy and kindness for not allowing him to suffer any longer. May we all have that strength when our time comes to make that decision. I know it's so very difficult. Sending hugs and prayers across the ether to you dear lady.:bighug::bighug::bighug:cat_wings>o

I’m so so sorry Nat:(. It is so hard but you absolutely made the right decision.
My heart aches for you.

Marvin was Beenie’s hero and I’m sure they’ve met at the :rb_icon:bridge. Marvin’s story is truly inspirational for all of FDMB Acro kitties past, present, and future.

Prayers for you during this difficult time

Fly free sweet Marvin cat_wings>o

I am so sorry it was Marvin's time to leave you. My heart aches for the pain you are experiencing right now, but I do think you absolutely made the right decision. He is free from pain and the taps and the oxygen cage. I remember hearing the news that he went OTJ, and it was before I joined L&L land. It was just that big! Marvin's FD journey has been amazing and you were such a good momma to him. It's obvious you loved him well. Fly free sweet Marvin and land softly. Sending you hugs and vines of comfort, love, and peace. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Dear Nat,
Your boy is safe at the Bridge with all of our GAs and his brother Laddie. He is “in good paws” as he begins his new adventure.
We are so sorry that it was his time to earn his golden wings, but he will always reside in that special place in your heart that belongs only to him.

Fly free, handsome Marvin. You are much loved. cat_wings>o

In deepest sympathy,
Ella & Edward, Rusty (GA) and Stu (GA)
