Taz had a day of blues yesterday, then had to stop eating before midnight last night for his dental today. He was stressing out this morning because he wanted to eat, and I had to take a +11 instead of a AMPS at his normal time this morning. I expected his glucose to be higher because he was begging to eat for a couple of hours before I tested him.
I skipped his morning insulin because he was due for it after we dropped him off at the vet. Not to mention, I was worried about him having it with no food in his system. They took his glucose twice, his +3 was HI (over 500 on their machine) and his +5 was 468. We'll be leaving to go pick him up in about 30 minutes. I'm so excited to get him back home!
He had quite a bit of tarter and gingivitis, two teeth removed (they were breaking), and a mole on in his lip was removed to biopsy. They said that he had 5 missing teeth (1 was removed years ago) and 2 teeth that were at the gum line but missing the crown of the teeth. Poor guy.
