Last night we engaged in something kind of like a life, and went out to dinner with friends. Kitty got his shot precisely 15 minutes later than +12 from the a.m. shot. Then this morning, we jumped the gun a bit, and he got his morning shot 20 minutes EARLIER than +12. Not perfect.

But he has had a healthy Early Snack. I hope he'll manage okay. And now, we resume precision!

I read in the rule book that you are entitled to a life and have fun outside the fun of FD!

I talked with the dentist about phone consults and he wasn't too keen on it. He said that while he can review the records and xrays, he finds it best if he can examine the animal. He asked where in TN you are as there is a dental specialist in Memphis and one in Alabama.

(Last time I checked a map, I thought Alabama was it's own state and not part of tennessee.)

I don't know how early we caught her resportive issues - one tooth appeared really eaten away and both the gums receded tremendously.

She was given pain meds prior to treatment and not sure if after, but I followed his instructions on when to give next and no - metacam wasn't used - I told him didn't want and he said wasn't planning on it - was leaning toward narcotic drugs instead..

sorry can't be more helpful for Kitty - regarding the 2nd opinion. Looks like you may just have to endure the car ride in order to get the answers you seek. Maybe try some rescue remedy for the car ride.

Thanks for asking, Hillary. Birmingham is probably a little closer than Memphis. We've had feedback from the doctor in Birmingham.

It's okay to have fun -- ON TIME. Fun must not intrude on precise shot times! If that's not already in the rule book, I'll have to write an appendix.

How nice Kitty was cooperative and allowed you to have a life for one night! Must be because he loves you soooooo much!

Wouldn't it be easier to fly in the vet dentist than to ask Kitty to travel????? Seriously, I wish you much luck with trying to figure what to do re: second opinion.

That might be the best option! I don't know how many times we've begged our regular vet to make home visits! Logan doesn't travel well, at all. He's made so many trips recently, though. I've started wrapping him in towels and holding him in the backseat while DH2B drives. It sucks that it takes two of us, but that's better than Logan screaming and puking!

I just love the beautiful numbers Kitty has now, and on so much less insulin!

Re: 3/6 Kitty AMPS 82

I hope Kitty can recover from the grievous scheduling errors that have occurred.

Oh wait, he already has.

Glad that Kitty hardly noticed the time change.. lol!
Just took a peek at his wonderfully green SS..
I showed it to Pepper to refresh his memory
