Hi Everyone,
We fell behind in our packing for the Falls a wee bit, partly because Basil had a little too much fun at his party yesterday. He was seen packing last night with a salmon-shaped ice pack on his head. And there were multiple lipstick marks on his ears!
Anyway, I found husband bean doing one last daily test this morning! When I asked why, he said he wanted to get a green after last night's light blue. So Basil ends his trial with a 91.
And he is a very happy and perky kitty today. Just sprinting outside and leaping up onto boulders for a better look at his domain. He even came in and sniffed the sleeping new dog this morning, although he is still worried by her.
His appetite is not what it used to be and I am wondering if a working pancreas is making the difference now. Because he seems just fine and wants to eat when HE is ready. LOL!
I want to say thank you one more time to all the special people here who helped me through. As I have said, I bookmarked my first thread ever here, and I reread it from time to time to remember where I was when I joined. From the most experienced peeps (who shall remain nameless) to the folks who popped in to make me feel welcome and to hold my hand, you're all a gift.
I'll rent a condo next week after our vet visit to update on Basil's teeth and whether he will need a dental. Meanwhile, I guess we test like once a month? I think we'll be doing once a week for the first month, because, well-- you know, because. ;-)
Wishing a great day to everyone in Lantus Land today. And Basil is rooting for all of you to get your condos at the Falls.
