Happy appy, snuggly, spunky, feisty, and anti-jinxes.
Thank you, everyone, for the support and prayers...it means the world to us. Petey is having his surgery this afternoon. This morning we ended up taking him back to the specialty facility where we had the ultrasound done, as our regular vet couldn't do anything until Monday. I think the specialty place is a better option anyway - very, very high-tech place. They did a FNA before committing to surgery; the FNA showed it is most likely not lymphoma. So we still have a chance that it is benign, but since we don't know for sure what it is, technically the procedure is being called "exploratory". They are also going to put in a feeding tube.
Aside from still not wanting to eat and seeming a bit tired, he actually seemed quite a bit better today. He wasn't lip-smacking when I showed him food anymore, although he didn't want to eat. Again it was all kind of slo-mo, but he was trotting around a bit, purring, asking for attention, and I even got him to play a little bit of footsie under the bathmat. So I'm baffled by all of this nightmare.
Please keep the prayers coming....we so appreciate them.
