Ruby made a gigantic poop last night. @Diane Tyler's Mom, thought you should know.
I was getting really worried there for a while about needing to give her an enema. It was soft, but very big. Her BGs didn't really seem to change as a result of the elimination. So all of my theories about constipation causing higher BGs may be wrong.
Meanwhile, my civvie Olive who has possible IBD has been having diarrhea for the last two weeks and is losing weight. Am biting the bullet and starting her on Z/D kibble when it arrives from Chewy to see if that improves her situation. Cerenia keeps her vomiting at bay but ondansetron has no effect on her, so she is not nauseous and exhibits no signs of pancreatitis. She is not due for another ultrasound and GI panel until July. Giving her hydrolyzed kibble goes against everything I know about feline nutrition, but I am willing to try if it gets her to eat and thrive.
Hope everyone had a good day.
