Good Friday Morning, Everyone,
Another cold morning here (12 degrees), but lots of sunshine. Deer tracks in the snow all over the yard this morning. They're munching on the newly emerged brown weeds from last fall. This has been a tough winter for deer with all the deep snow.
Rusty had a good night and woke me up early again with kitty kisses, squirms, head butts, everything to get me up, but we waited for the alarm to ring. Good test (100 is green in my book!), good Wellness turkey breakfast (first and second sittings gobbled up even though it wasn't FF!), a little play with Red Ears, and a nice warm spot by the radiator is now being enjoyed.
No big plans for today. We're leaving for NYC on Sunday for a few days, so I have to start getting stuff ready. We're seeing Richard Strauss' "Capriccio" (one of our favorite operas) at the Met on Monday evening, and on Monday morning I'm going to the dentist (I broke off a big piece of tooth a few weeks ago; hope he can fix it without resorting to drastic measures). I hope to go bicycling with my friends on Tuesday. Edward and I both need to do some work in the libraries. Rusty will get to do lots of window sitting and watching of the passing panoply. Maybe it will be spring-like in the city!!!
My DH, who suffers from neck and shoulder pain, wants to tell all you headache sufferers about the device he just got: the "Still Point Inducer". (available at Amazon). People in his yoga class are raving about it. You lie on the floor for 10-15 minutes with it under the spot where your neck joins your head. It totally relaxes all those muscles. It comes bundled with another device called the "DaVinci tool" (somewhat more mysterious, but apparently you can use it for all aches and pains (back, feet, etc.,), not just the neck.
Happy weekend eve, everyone. We continue to send healing thoughts and prayers to our sick kitties.
