Good Friday Morning, Everyone,

Another cold morning here (12 degrees), but lots of sunshine. Deer tracks in the snow all over the yard this morning. They're munching on the newly emerged brown weeds from last fall. This has been a tough winter for deer with all the deep snow.

Rusty had a good night and woke me up early again with kitty kisses, squirms, head butts, everything to get me up, but we waited for the alarm to ring. Good test (100 is green in my book!), good Wellness turkey breakfast (first and second sittings gobbled up even though it wasn't FF!), a little play with Red Ears, and a nice warm spot by the radiator is now being enjoyed.
No big plans for today. We're leaving for NYC on Sunday for a few days, so I have to start getting stuff ready. We're seeing Richard Strauss' "Capriccio" (one of our favorite operas) at the Met on Monday evening, and on Monday morning I'm going to the dentist (I broke off a big piece of tooth a few weeks ago; hope he can fix it without resorting to drastic measures). I hope to go bicycling with my friends on Tuesday. Edward and I both need to do some work in the libraries. Rusty will get to do lots of window sitting and watching of the passing panoply. Maybe it will be spring-like in the city!!!

My DH, who suffers from neck and shoulder pain, wants to tell all you headache sufferers about the device he just got: the "Still Point Inducer". (available at Amazon). People in his yoga class are raving about it. You lie on the floor for 10-15 minutes with it under the spot where your neck joins your head. It totally relaxes all those muscles. It comes bundled with another device called the "DaVinci tool" (somewhat more mysterious, but apparently you can use it for all aches and pains (back, feet, etc.,), not just the neck.

Happy weekend eve, everyone. We continue to send healing thoughts and prayers to our sick kitties.

Reading Rusty's condo always makes me smile. You and Edward and Rusty are so lucky to have found each other. Despite all of the changes in Rusty's life, he is so loving and trusting and so clearly adores you both. What a happy story!

As for the tulips in Chicago, I suspect it's going to be a while before they bloom. There is evidence of their wanting to bloom -- sprouts are peaking up through the ground -- but the weather is still too cold. We're in the 30s today which is probably balmy by your standards!

Re: 3/25 Rusty AMPS 100

Rusty is such a sweetheart. I love hearing about him. I think 100 should be green darnit - amazing start to the day.

I'm so glad your husband is getting relief. The neck expert is helping me tons. I feel yucky and achy afterwards and the next day but feel 100% after that. I feel cured. The test will be if I don't get a flareup.

Brrrr. cold in NY again huh. You bike in that freezing weather? Have a safe trip.

Re: 3/25 Rusty AMPS 100

Hey Devon, will the tooth fairy come for a wisdom tooth?? Happy Birthday, indeed! How are you guys getting along with no more pokes, no more shots? I'll bet Mocha loves the Falls. And you can start to think about camping season.
Have a great weekend.

Re: 3/25 Rusty AMPS 100

Nice amps, Rusty! :D

And Devon, I hope the dentist won't be too hard on you. What a way to spent your special day, huh? I guess Mocha going OTJ does count as a birthday present, though!

yeah, I am not looking forward to having the tooth pulled, even IF the tooth fairy makes an appearance  But I can tell you that when they scheduled my appointment I had to think real fast if that was going to be at mocha's nadir  Guess old habits die hard!

Hi guys. Ella, you're making me cold just THINKING about 12 degrees. I remember those days when I was stationed in Alaska and don't miss them AT ALL! Whooo, I'm a warm weather girl for sure. Rusty sounds like such a doll baby. Very cool that you all get to go on a family trip. Please thank your DH for sharing the information about the Still Point Inducer and DaVinci tool. I get headaches and migraines all the time so I might have to check that out. My sister might be able to use both of them. I also want to say Happy Early Birthday in case I don't get by on Monday. I have to take two kitties to get all their teeth pulled (they have stomatitis) and then I have a couple of appointments so it's gonna be a long and crazy day. Just how I like it to be on my day off. Not! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and Rusty, great numbers bud.

Ella, I agree with everyone, that Rusty hit the jackpot, when he adopted you and Edward. What a happy family you three are. (Four, 'cause I'm sure Stu's watching over you all)
I also love reading your condos, and hearing about Rusty's morning playtime....and radiator nap time. :-D
