Re: 3/23 Mego AMPS 188 +2.75 60 +3 59 +3.5 58 +4.25 56 +5.25
I agree, his numbers are looking pretty good, but it's been a lot of maintenance. The problem I see, is that when I go back to work on my wonky scheudle, I won't be able to do the things I'm doing now to keep him surfing. And that makes me quite nervous. As much as I don't want to, I am really considering a dose reduction and will talk to my vet about it just to keep her in the loop. I just feel that it's important that I'm as comfortable with the treatment as Mego is. Not that I don't appreciate everything everyone is doing to help me. You have all kept me in the "sane" department this las week.
One thing I've noticed on other SSs, is that people will do multiple feedings throughout the cycle to stabilize their numbers. Since I will not be able to do this, I've seen that people will freeze some food and put it out in the morning before they leave home. Can someone tell me if cats have the instinct to eat more carbs when their BG gets low - meaning how would I know if he will go to the bowl and eat the extra food left out to slow down his fast dropping numbers? I know it's a strange question, but I don't want to leave any dumb question rock unturned.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
