~O) I ~O) JUST ~O) DON'T ~O) GET ~O) IT!!!!!

Saturday night I had to miss his shot and with no insulin his #'s were great:
+15 = 85
+17 = 101
+21 = 84

Sunday numbers were good:
AM = 97
PM = 95
+3 = 111 (not too bad)

Then this morning 152!!! So I tested immediately after (because I was shocked by the number) and the second reading was even worse - 174! I wanted to throw up. I did notice he puked some point during the night. Does this affect anything?

Any thoughts? Ideas? Can anyone give me a ride to the closest nut house?

Sorry you are going to have to get your own ride.....I am already there. :mrgreen:

Yes, puking can raise bg as I have read. Putty only does it about twice a year.
The shed may also be a little depleted from missing a shot.

Traci -

The repeat test issue is likely meter variance. There is always measurement error involved with instrumentation. Meters have about 20% variance. The higher the number the greater the variance. The effect carries more psychological impact on us but it's a reminder that the 152 and the 174 are essentially the same number.

Crazy? Go sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here! :lol:

Because of that meter varience you keep testing and eventually you will come up with the 20% LOWER number. Would you feel better if it was 122? :mrgreen:

Yes, and BOTH numbers stink! :lol:

Oops! I forgot. Well, I'm all stocked up too!

Yes, I would prefer the 122. Or why don't we make it 92 just for the hell of it! :lol:

PM - 109

This is a "normal" number for him at this point in the game. I'm glad it wasn't another "weird" number like this mornings.

I woke to a pile of puke and came home to a pile too. He goes through this every once in a while. I try not to get too worried about it; he's got IBD and sometimes it acts up a bit. The WCR is he's his usually whining dramatic self. He ate well tonight while constantly begging for more. He still wants his kitty crack even though he's been off it since November, he still hopes I'll give him a Temptation or a Whisker Lickin'. No chance kid. :lol:

much better tonight, I guess the pukus had something to do with this morning's number. Good information for next time.

Hi Libby-

Puking makes BG's go up? It DOES seem to make sense if that's the case.
What about pooping? I hear people (like Roni) talk about the "magical poop" - does that decrease the BG's?
Thanks for your help!

Puk, then BG goes up? Stress? If this were logical, wouldn't you expect BG to go down after a puke, ie, no food for upping BG.....ok sorry for trying to be logical..........not saying anything I just wrote is factual, just trying to make sense in my own head .....ok, I guess the right food combo could also make BG go down or stablize!!!!! ...........sorry about the puking, that is a real fact!!!!!
