I hope everyone has had a great week. We have been.... well, busy again!
I just can't imagine not being on the go.
It keeps us out of trouble, and makes for great times. ! I often think back on the weeks happenings, and wonder how in the world did we do all that!

It was the same this past week. We just seem to pick up and go each day, no questions asked, since we all know FUN AWAITS!
It has been an intersting, yet fun, and overload busy week, as Erin and Jason, aka Nicholas and William's mom and dad, have been on vacation. Which meant: we were off to do things as a family, on a few days. That was so great. I think it is so great when working parents get a vacation and spend alot of it just being with, and playing with, their kids. We were able to see the Pompeii Exhibit at the Sciene center, Play at Bothell Landing Park, and Swim at the Snohomish Aquatic Center as a family. WHAT FUN! As always I am grateful for all those that help us on a daily basis, friends, people that know us at the places we go, and though I write this each week, still my local barista! It cracks me up when I walk in that door and my order is already in the works.
Life is very good!
It has been a good week in the pool. It has just become the norm for us, we go each week, and just never tire of it. It proves to be such fun for both boys, and their excitement with it all has not wavered.

Nicholas continues to watch lessons, we are getting closer I think to having him accept that he really should be in swim class. This week he really enjoyed what he saw, and agreed with me that he would be the best swimmer ever!
OK... So I'm trying to beef up his ego a bit and add some confidence to what he knows inside is really true. New enrollment is in two weeks, so we shall see how this goes.... new things can often be intimidating for him, even though he really knows he can do what he sees the kids doing. William is doing great! pool time for him is as much fun as it is for Nicholas. His pool has a great beach play area for little kids, and he really enjoys all that it has to offer. Cannons, and Geysers, and of course the Slide (!!) are his faves. We continue to work on underwater acceptance. he really has no problem with it, and can now stay under a bit longer. Friday was family swim night. Mom and Dad came to swim with the boys. What fun that was. Nicholas got to show off, and was so excited to have his mom and dad swim with him. William enjoyed the "new" pool, and had such fun with their slide and water play area. Of course Nicholas had mom and dad on the Big Blue Slide. We all took turns going down with him. WOOT, one happy family.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night were our swim days this week.
That's alot of pool time!
GO NICHOLAS! GO WILLIAM!
Nicholas: Off he goes! way down under....
William: I LOVE WATER!
The Friday Night Burger Feast for Nicholas, after his swim session at the Snohomish pool, will be always on the highlight list. He looks forward to this every week, starts asking about it on Wednesday when he first sees me. He just LOVES those cheeseburgers with extra pickles!
It is such a positive and fun thing for both of us. I wouldn't stop this tradition for anything, or until he decides it is time. This Friday was extra cool, as William was able to join him.
Chaos in my car, as they devoured cheeseburgers with extra pickles, and a boat-load of fries. It really was such fun.

The boys and I continue to be very busy.
We have had a decent weather week too, sunny skies for most of the days, warm temps, with us hitting the 55/60 mark. Spring is for sure coming.
We have come up with a great list of indoor places, and this week we used them when we needed too, when the weather was questionable, with friday morning being the most "iffy" day.

Mondays was awesome! It was family day at the Pacific Science Center. We all went to see the Pompeii exhibit, and then spend what time we could doing all there was there to offer. The boys sure had fun showing mom and dad all their fave things. A great day, and Pompeii was very nice! Such a great glimpse into the past. Thursday was spent at Bothell Landing Park, with the boys mom and dad making that part of the day too. They came to swing and slide and hang out with the boys, as we wrapped up another busy day. Friday we were at the Aquarium. dodging rain drops. It had been a few weeks since we had gone there, seemed like a good choice to the boys. When asked if they wanted to go , I got a "YES!!!!!!!!!!!". So off we went. A great day with the fishies!

We also spent some time with my MIL Connie, after Nicholas's swim on Wednesday, as she watched William for me. William just LOVES to go there. On the drive over he kept saying: "Connie! Connie! Connie!"
Per tradition, after Connie's we went to the Meadowdale Play Park. Another great spot for young kids. We had good weather, the boys so wanted to play, both made a few new friends. SWEET! It was indeed an awesome week. I thoroughly enjoyed sharing what Nicholas , William, and I do with their mom and dad.
William and Nicholas: Civil Engineers, Hard at Work!
For my own personal time, I continue to hike the local trails here when I can. I still haven't made that mountain hike, but all in good time on that one.
We have had minimal snowfall this year, so hiking trails are opening early this year.

I have read that the North Cascades Highway will reopen soon, so back to the moutnians for me as soon as I can get there.

The road is being plowed and cleared and avalanche controlled as we type. YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tuesday, after having Breffis with my son Anthony, I headed on over to the Darrington area to hike a rural distance connector (city to city) trail that runs from Arlington to Darrington, about 28 miles one way: The Whitehorse Trail. it is under development, so only a portion is "ready to go". I did the 6 miles section just west of Darrington, heading into town. LOVED it! It will be great when finished, as the whole trek runs near the Stillaguamish Rover, and offers several mountain views. What a nice day out on the trail. I've also spent doing the local stuff, mainly Meadowdale.
Normalcy in Three MusketeerVille!

The kitties are doing well. Elsa is still into her game, active, and getting out when she wants, 18.5 years and still making her rounds. Bug is being bug, my stoic affectionate Mannie wannabe kitty. Lola is well.... Lola. Still my wild and crazy girl. this past week I've had a few nights where she has climber under the covers, and curled up next to my stomach and slept there for a while. She just purrs and purrs....
For this week: a for sure on that normalcy in MusketeerVille.

Mannie, the ultimate sun worshiper, right down to the squinty eyes!
Have a great Caturday everyone! Today has been catchup day here. Shopping and laundry done, and just being a little lazy. I hope to get out for a walk after I post this, for some fresh air, and to exercise the legs some. It will wet one here today, or so they say so I had better get out soon. Sure would be nice if the winds would die down some too.
