Brownie was hungry this am, so I went ahead and gave him his full 0.75u dose. Now we're just busy rebuilding his shed. He didn't pee yesterday or last night AT ALL, so I took him back this morning to the vet. She was able to squeeze the poor guy and empty his bladder, which she said was HUGE. Don't know why he didn't pee, but his kidneys are obviously working ok. I'll wait to give more subq fluids until Saturday as she said he was well-hydrated. Happy Furday LL!

Just finished reading yesterday's condo - nekked and likes it that way ;-) oh dear!

And I had to stifle my snortle when you asked the vet about the nom nom effect! ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile

That's ok the first time I heard it, I thought it was some secret code language and I didn't have my decoder ring handy.....I love all the tech speak here!!

nom nom effect indeed ---- :-D :-D :-D :-D

Re: 3/19 Brownie AMPS 160 PMPS 92

I went ahead and shot a full 0.75u dose, even though he was only 92. He ate 1/2 can 7% and I can always feed him gravy if nessa... Back with a +3 in 30 minutes... BTW, he looks ALOT better tonight - the bupe is starting to wear off finally. I'm not sure how much they gave him, but it lasted for about 30 hours - is that normal?

not sure about the bupe question, but you can add it to your subject line BUPE Q, like that.

92 PMPS is great! remember, keep posting when u can to update, holler for help if u need it.

Re: 3/19 Brownie PMPS 92 +3 75 +4.5 86

I gave Brownie about 2T hc and gravy at +3 only because of his dental - I can't predict his curve right now. Normally, I would put out some more lc and go to sleep. Even after the hc, he is still only 86 at +4.5. I left out some 7% (mc) and will recheck at about +6. I suppose this could be part of the nom nom effect or simply because he's not eating quite as much as usual. He hasn't peed since the vet squeezed him this morning - he'll be back there tomorrow if he doesn't visit the litterbox tonight... Nini LL. I-)

Nom NOM     Moonie had it after her last dental 11/18/09! It is quite startling, but Jill warned me about it at her 1st dental!
Brownie looks great but is holding water because he misses his toof!!
Got to have some Humor!!
Numbers are terrific--Keep it up! HUGS~!

Sounds like the dental agreed with Brownie in a way. I hope that the peeing issue can be corrected. Poor thing, poor thing.
Pee Brownie!!!

Patricia please read

If Brownie hasn't used LB yet:

FB exchange btwn jojo and I:

Choy-Foong Wong Jojo - Brownie had dental Thurs, Pat posted that the buprenex lasted about 30 hrs, and he didn't pee (I can't believe I'm writing this on yr wall!) Thurs or Thurs night, brought back to vet Fri a.m. to express, bladder was HUGE, and last post was Fri 11:35pm - no pee since vet expressed in morning. Is this normal? No p...ost this a.m. yet, she'd said she was planning to bring him back this morning if he hadn't visited the LB overnight. Brownie's 18.5, has CRI.

Jojo Andbunny
what the heck dose of bupe was he given? no not normal, he needs to go back in if he hasn't passed urine since yesterday morning when vet expressed bladder and get knocked out and u-cath'ed.
