Today I took the day off from work, tomorrow too. I visited Dave and his DD (Dear Drooler) Princess. She's got a terminal adrenal tumor - was supposed to have surgery but once they did a CT scan, the surgeon said it was inoperable. The interesting thing is that she's fine. The vet couldn't believe she was up and walking around, yet the only symptom she has is she's being finicky about eating. No pain. It's good but my BF has his life on "hold" right now. It's a hard situation. We really can't do anything. And then there my schedule with Boomer. So...you all probably get it. We're two people who love our pets, but our lives are controlled by them right now. I really want Boomer to be able to go OTJ. I've gotten much lower carb foods and I'm feeding him with the autofeeder so he'll eat smaller amounts during the day too. What else can I do? What am I looking for in order for him to get an OTJ trial?

Today's numbers:
Am - 87
+3 - 104
+5 - 108
PM - 125

It can be very hard when you are this dedicated you your companion. I suspect for many of us, we choose to rearrange our lives around shot time and as complicated as it may be, we wouldn't have it any other way.

When you're at home, can you try to get some additional spot checks during the AM cycle? It seems like Boomer has more blues then and it might help to see what's going on during the day. I think Boomer is close. We just don't want to rush anything. Giving his pancreas the most possible time to heal is important for any reduction, especiallly the last one, to stick.
