At +4 Sunny just tested at 51. He was ravenous so I gave him a bit of hc, and a bit of lc. If I waited another 15 or 30 minutes he probably would have been in the 40s. I'd love to see him earn a reduction today. Even though he didn't hit the 40s do y'all think it's OK to let him earn a reduction from this? Close enough with meter variance? Or is that a bad idea?

I didn’t get the tag for this…I wonder if the others didn’t either. I always feel this way too, but I know in the past @tiffmaxee and @Bandit's Mom have said to wait until they actually go under 50. I think it’s coming soon either way! His numbers are getting better and better so I’d try to ride them out while you can on this dose.

For newly diagnosed kitties under a year the TR method says
If kitty drops below 40 (long term diabetic) or 50 (newly diagnosed diabetic) reduce the dose by 0.25 unit. On 4--20-22 will be a year for Sunny

Since he almost went under 50 let's see what Elise says whether or not to reduce

Next time feed lc and see if he comes up in 30 minutes or drops under.

@tiffmaxee ok thank you! -- I know he'll have a stronger reduction more likely to stick if I'm patient. I'll wait till I see a number in the 40s. Thx for your help!
