Yesterday's Condo

Shadow had another beautiful BM last night in the LB....but puked his dinner up. I had added some raw into the FF and I don't think his tummy is ready for that. I am fresh out of freeze dried chicken so a trip to Petsmart is in order. He is purry and seems happy. No pajama party last night but I did set the extra wake up alarm for myself at +6 just in case. he was a steady blue yesterday and is starting out the day in the same range today. Nice healing numbers!!
I had shampooed my rugs yesterday and everything was so nice and clean. then, as we were ready for bed, he puked in the bedroom. :roll: Will this ever end? There is a little rug shampooer i bought a few years ago and it is one of the best purchases I have ever made in my entire life! :lol: What a wonderful job it does and it's so nice to be able to shampoo my rugs whenever I get the urge.....they turn out beautifully!

Raja and Shadow are so anxious for tomorrow to come....all kitties are welcome to the St. Patrick's Day party...someone talk to Luna & Bast about it and alex and Big mac and Maui and all kitties who live at the falls....
Hope everyone has a good day today...sending hugs to Kelly for the vet visit and to Amy and Pedro in hopes that he will start feeling better...and to all the kitties out there who are feeling a bit under the weather and also their loving Beans...HUGS to you all!!! :YMHUG:

Looking good, Shadow! Sorry about the pukus, though. They always get the rug/carpet...never the tile or wood floor! Logan always goes to the litter box area. He'll actually vomit himself into a corner and then can't get out! And when the liquid hits the carpet where some litter may be, it's a huge mess! He turns the carpet into clay. Poor guy, you can't get upset about it, though. Just part of having kitties! DH2B has never had pets of his own, so moving in with me and my 3 kitties was a learning experience for him...and then we threw in a couple of dogs, too! He has gotten over it for the most part, but still gets a little more upset than me. It's just stuff, after all! :lol:

Shadow, these are some really lovely numbers, but the -- eh, erm, um -- barfing must stop! Your bean said she wanted you to "throw up" some good numbers, not just "throw up." Concentrate on your party now and remember, if you eat it, it's yours.

I have one rug in my place - the rest is laminate flooring. I can't tell you how many times these darn girls aim for that one rug! And if I'm not fast enough to move them, then watch out. If I can I try to run them to a sink and let them gack there. With my girls they always gack twice!

Hey Shadow, What do you eat to get a good vomit? I recommend brown weeds (but in Florida the weeds are probably never brown). Nice of your bean to clean up the rugs for the party tomorrow. I'll be by later to help with the setting up and to start the stew cooking. You and Raja (and Pat, too, of course) have a great day.

Nice numbahs! Too bad about the rug :sad: I know how it is, when one of mine starts gacking I usually grab him and run for the tile floor. As soon as we get there and I let go he stops, makes a beeline back to the carpet and lets it go!

Hope Shadow is feeling better before his big party tomorrow.

Just fantastic numbers.

Max will be getting a ride wity the Canadian connection (Luna,Bast,Shadoe & Booboo)
I just need to firm up with Kelly if she will let Logan come.
Miss Moonie will be in her pretty green dress I am sure and I must check with Latte
and see how she is feeling and what colour dress she will be wearing.
Max might not need the green top hat. He snuck a new green suit on today.

Kelly, I never have heard of a kitty vomiting himself into a corner, hahahaha!!

Lydia, throwing up some numbers, oh no, you didn't... hahaha!

But really I wanted to ask you Pat, what little shampoo thing do you have? It sounds like something I really need, not just for kitties, but for DH and his messy shoes and grandkids and their messy selves.

There are larger models too I guess but I got this one a few years ago and I LOVE it! Especially with kids and kitties....it really does a nice job for such a small machine and the price is so reasonable. I used to schlep the rental machines all the time and it was always such a big production. This allows me to shampoo the rugs any time i want with no bothers. I find that I do use it often too. It's great!
Of course, kitties hate any noise from any machines...the vacuum sends them flying and so does this. Oh well. They are the part of the reason I need it... :lol: but I actually have fun using it. It's great to watch something actually happening when you use it! And when the rug is dry, the love lying on the fresh carpet...all ready for the next projectile barfing incident.... :roll:

Shadow is looking quite dapper today! Sorry about the vomiting....I had a civvie puke last night and Spot decided that he was going to do it this morning. I did get him to the wood floor before he let loose, tho, thank goodness.

Spot said he will see you all tomorrow, hopefully dressed in his best pair of green zippy pants.

Randi, of course Logan can attend the party! I wouldn't keep him away from his buddies. He needs some fun in his life. :mrgreen:

Carolyn, I think he ends up in the corner b/c he pukes so many times. I've never seen him vomit just once. Once he starts, he will not stop until there is nothing left. I've seen him puke 18+ times! It's horrible! And he's a very violent puker...looks downright painful. We've learned the hard way to not give him any milk, cheese, yogurt, or beef. He can't even have his heartguard chewies anymore.

Pat, I may need to get me one of those. With 5 pets, there is always something to clean up!

Hi Pat,

Shadow's #'s are looking great! Sorry about the pukies though. But it looks like you've got things all under control with your little machine. I need one of those. I think anybody with kitties knows the sound of the oncoming pukus. My ears perk up like a new mother to the sound of her newborn crying in the middle of the night. Than off I go to try and intercept and make the mess easier to clean upus. :-D

Sara says to tell Raja and Shadow that she'll see them at the party tomorrow. :mrgreen:

We are all agreed that it is one of the worst sounds in the world then, right???!
Did you ever see a person's face...one who doesn't have kitties...when one of your darlings starts with the dry heaves right before the puking? OMG....I am always torn between running to my sick kitty and/or laughing and rolling the floor at the look on the person's face when they hear that sound! :lol:

It's the one sound that makes up STOP what we are doing immediately and RUN. Paper towels in hand. Nothing matters. Mine gag and gag and then run as fast as they can to a rug. We have tile in the hallway, dining area and kitchen and bathrooms.....they run to the nearest throw rug or carpeting.
Poor little things.
I am amazed at Logan though....picturing him backing into the corner after one of his barfing sessions....that is really a record amount of times Kelly....Wow.

Shadow and Raja enjoy some Wellness today. I got myself (and them) a few packages of freeze-dried chicken. It helps me if I have it so they will be enticed...I hate running out of that stuff.

I had to check out the details on the machine you were talking about. It got some excellent reviews. I'll have to keep it in mind.

I hope Shadow feels all better by tomorrow night. Maybe, it's just pre-party jitters.
I have some fresh catnip growing outside my office at work, the hardy plants actually made it through all the snow and ice and freezing tempuratures this winter. There isn't a lot to pick, but it might be pretty potent stuff ;-)

Raja and Shadow were rolling around wrestling after dinner tonight....just like a couple of "little" kitties!
All is great here....last minute decorations (sigh) and much activity here, getting ready for the party. My goodness, I am wondering if there will be as many kitties at the clean up parties as there are at the decorating parties. That's all they want to do is be together, giggling and carrying on!! :lol:

BigMac wants to use your Bissell Quicksteam Power brush at the clean-up. He'll even use it on Maui first... you know how messy Maui is.

Putty is all excited about the party tomorrow night. He even showed his green tonight which had not been making much of an appearance lately.

Bee says he has to show at least some green tomorrow or he gets pinched! And she plans to be there for the party too. :mrgreen:

Guess Shadow doesn't want to get pinched tomorrow at the party....it's past midnight so this is tomorrow's number...green...at least this one is... :-D

MJ...if i am out of freeze-dried chicken, they stare at me and then at their dishes and then back at me...and when they finally realize there is no sprinkled treat for the top of their food, I suffer. So yes, i do buy some for myself for the peace of mind it brings ME!!! :lol:
 
Where do you find the freeze dried chicken? I have found the salmon but it is so stinky when I break it up that I don't buy it anymore and Cappi wouldn't eat it anyway. (BigMac eats anything though.) I've ordered the Halo chicken treats and was surprised at how small the container was, so I wondered if there was a place to buy it locally, not online.
 
I bought a case of the Halo chicken online shortly after Donovan was diagnosed and it was way cheaper than the singles available in the store. I know there are larger packages of another brand available.... I think it's for d*gs but heck, it's chicken. As long as the cats don't see the wrapper, it's all good.
