I totally can't believe we had a full cycle of blue, just about. Shadoe seems OK.
I wonder if she is going to continue the blues through the day today? We shall see soon enough; I'll work from home so I can test her.

She is really sticking with these blues; I am hoping she does not go too low.

are you picking up where Ronnie left off? My goodness that's a lot of testing! Ronnie was the testalholic and we had to put her through the three test stop process.

Boy I sure wish I knew what's going on; after such a long journey of up, up, up, and then up some more, this screeching halt has taken me by surprise.

I sure do like it and Shadoe seems to be OK with it too, but nice as it is, I will make sure to enjoy it but keep a careful watch on it. For all I know, she's just taking a little breather, or this sort of thing is not a surprise with an acro kitty.

And my testing is getting outta hand here, but I don't want to miss when the L or R stop and start working. I could test every 10min and still not see it though :lol:

So, I think the good times should be celebrated without losing sight of reality because the bounces can be nasty.

So today, we celebrate and prepare for the party.
We have our green on and we are ready to go!

Congrats (again) on giving Oliver a forever home.

Have you been giving Shadoe any HC? Might want to think about bumping him back to the blues since it looks like he was even lower at +6.

I did give Shadoe a bit of MC but she was not interested in eating much.
It looks like she is coming up nicely to some decent blues and by pmps, she might be still blue :shock: Strange, she was 128 at +9 last nite too.

OK her u/s is set for Thursday morn; I am to be there at 8am and was advised no need to fast and we can give her the normal am shot.

The next day, Friday AM, we do her dental. I think Shadoe won't want to get into the carry case on Friday morning.

The rest of the weekend is to get ready for and settle in Oliver.

I am tired already; maybe I should go for a nap. haha_smiley

you're taking her to the vet twice AND bringing in a new kitty, all in the same week? Poor Shadoe! I suggest giving Oliver his own room for the first week or so, it really helps with integration (especially since your two aren't used to new additions, and Shadoe might not be feeling well).

Today is GREAT, I love it! What a perfect cycle, Shadoe must have visiting some of the other kitties to learn how to do a curve. :mrgreen:

Libby, yeah, it was not really all planned that way.

I did plan the u/s, and had asked for Friday. At that time, I mentioned that Shadoe has never had a dental so she should get one. The u/s was not confirmed yet, and the vet office was waiting for the date from the u/s person.
I HAD said just make the arrangements and let me know the dates and times, so it's my fault.

As for Oliver, well I never knew of him until just the other day, and felt that I just 'needed' to offer him a home. It felt 'right'.

So here we are - u/s on Thurs morn, dental on Fri morn, and Oliver's arrival on the same weekend.

I'll set up my bedroom as his starting point. I will get him his own new LB, and launder a cat bed for him to have. If he is like every other cat in existence, he will use what I don't offer as a bed.

Friday nite will be shopping for meter, lancet, Lantus, more syringes, and whatever food he eats, if it different from Shadoe's.

This next week is going to be very very interesting indeed! :roll:

Tess, the girls keep me busy but I am thinking of Oliver as our house bouncer as he weighs in at their two weights combined or close to it.

It will definitely be interesting the first time that 6lb Booboo meets up with 16lb Oliver.

Kelly, I don't think I will be posting as much once Oliver arrives and till he gets nicely settled. It will be a handful to keep the insulins for each straight and then update the right ss , etc. Our lives are about to get pretty exciting with no dull moments.
 
Wait, not a bouncer! No bouncer, let's call him the body guard or doorman, but no bouncing diabetic kitties please!
